@rinibunny4576 as someone who had parents like this, my parents used to say I wasn't allowed date boys, wasn't allowed to look at them, wasnt allowed to be friends with them, etc. I was closeted, but by my late teens, they started to realize that avoiding male attraction was something I was *suspiciously* good at, so they started talking about marriage and trying to set me up with my brother's friends. So yes, they absolutely start trying to force men on these girls at the first sign of queerness.

I had multiple "boyfriends" in elementary school and it was solely based on the fact that these were simply the boys in the class who were taught to respect women as equals and had similar interests as me. One of them was on my mixed gender soccer team and the other one was the boy in class that all the girls wanted to be boyfriend/girlfriend with and all the boys thought was a pansy. I was the only person who actually treated him as an equal. I was never attracted to any of these boys. It actually confused me quite a bit because I had a few small crushes on some of the girls I went to school with, but since I didn't have a real understanding of what attraction was, I thought I just wanted to be them/be their friend.

@jordynniccole7434
@jordynniccole7434 3 ай бұрын
@@Celestichthysmargaritatus the reason true acting is different is because you travel to a set with a load of producers with special microphones and cameras, which is a huge VISUAL cue to the child this isnt real. When you start mixing your home environment, your regular grocery stores etc into your content, it gets quite confusing for kids to completely separate the real from fiction for content. And in all reality, they are likely controlling individuals, but they play it up a lot for content. I imagine their content is things they've thought about for a second but decided its "too unhealthy" so they joke about it with each other "Oh you know what would make a good video, if we did this" and it's something that has truly crossed their mind but recognize its a step above what is considered appropriate. It feels like a mix of their real life as well as playing it up for the cameras, so if theres ANY controlling behavior demonstrated to the kid outside of these videos that only makes it that much harder for the kid to discern what's real.

Another thing that these parents forget is what are the priorities of these kids in this point in their life? Finding new friends to have fun on the playground? Sharing snacks? The application of adult topics onto children is the first mistake, because anything in this point in their life is ignored or overlooked for what the parents think is a threat in their own adult perception. Treat your kids as people in the appropriate setting and stage of their life. Like its been said before, the more you shelter your kids from situations that they'll face in that time frame of their lives is going to make them better at hiding that shit from you, not prevent it from happening. Or do they think that kids are too stupid to have discussions about how they need to handle situations on their own or to get help when its needed? By that point the out come is 1000% the parents responsibility for not raising their kids right. Give kids more room to actually learn the skills needed to be an adult and solve these issues accordingly, kids aren't stupid and you dont have to do the thinking for them when its creepy and overbearing and EMBARRASSING for these poor kids. Your kids shouldn't have to apologize for your embarrassing behavior and you need to go back to school to learn some manners

I feel so bad for the kids in these videos. It's clear that the little girl just thinks it is a funny game now, but how much of that is going to stick with her when she's older? She may end up fearing that her dad is going to try to intimate her date or feel like any time someone looks at her that they objectifying her. Or if she does end up dating someone having trust issues & being scared that they're going to cheat on her & think it's okay to be possessive of her partner. It's okay for kids to learn boundaries, but it's not okay to teach them toxic & possessive behavior like these parents are doing to their daughter

Yes, he was fully abled-body. He was just lazy and openly admitted that he only 'kept' us for free labor around the house. They don't care about young girls. They care about controlling them. That's it. The children's safety and physical and mental health are at the bottom of the list of priorities.

He adores my girlfriend and even bought a Christmas gift for her (he never did that for any of my past boyfriends). TLDR: My dad wasn’t a toxic girl dad; he just hated men (Slay)

And life update--I think I turned out fine I got therapy, that boy from what I have heard got into some bad socials, still lives through poverty and abuse, and has also been abusing women constantly. before my parents divorced, i wasn’t allowed to touch, talk, or be friends with boys.(i’m a woman). it was so bad that i couldn’t play games with the rest of the class bc it involved touching my male classmates. i was even bullied for it too(like i was the one who made the rule🤨). i hated it. i wasn’t even allowed to wear skirts either. this “family” channel reminds me of those times. i feel so bad for that little girl. i hope the kids at her school aren’t picking on her for things that are out of her control.☹️☹️

Another issue with the one where the dad is rewarding his daughter for telling the boys to back off is... by having their daughter act out this skit they're normalizing in her head that mom is going to react differently than dad, that mom isn't going to support her when she sets boundaries with the boys at school or listen to her explain her side of the story if the teacher calls. A gender role thing that a lot of married women (rightfully) complain about is how dads tend to fall into the role of fun parent while mom is stuck doing the harder work of parenting, but these two are intentionally framing themselves in that way. It's so bizarre that the mom would go along with that. Edit: also these are so exhausting to watch. WHY does everything have to escalate so quickly? I know it's because it's tiktok and being dramatic gets views but it's so frustrating to listen to like. In all of these hypothetical scenarios in which men and boys are waiting in every target aisle to hit on them specifically, there's never an option to say "no thanks I'm not interested" it's immediately "back off my bf/dad is crazy and he's already on his way to this target, sprinting at top speed, getting ready to pick you up by your ankles and shake the money out of your pockets!"

ew that dad gives major austin mcbroom vibes. I always thought it was weird. Catherine put their like 4 month old daughter in a two piece and he acted all mad and said she needs to cover up… why? she’s 4 months old.. (even tho a 4 month old being in a two piece is unnecessary and not safe bc they need a rash guard swimsuit to prevent sunburn) but his reaction was weird & gross.

I feel like we need to normalise clinical terms like "covert incest" to describe this kind of behaviour. Heteros get away with sexualising children way too much and have the absolute gall to project their own bizarre and disturbing issues onto the LGBTQ+ community. There's enough discussion about parenting online that anyone who would act this way is doing so despite knowing better. They've heard every intellectual argument for why they shouldn't do this to their children and since they won't stop, I think it's time to succinctly summarise their behaviour with a stigmatising label like "incestuous." Maybe I'm just burned out and jaded, but I feel like that's an effective strategy that's been under-utilised.

What if the young girl turns out to be a lesbian? Would he be okay with that? My crazy "father" was okay with me dating girls and actually tried to convince me to so id never get pregnant as a teen. So this is interesting its all pin pointed at having a "boyfriend" Also it doesn't matter when your about 11 and below, 12+ is puberty age and middle school which is where the concern and talks should occur depending on your location if that is common or not. When they're 4?! All they know is "this boy is nice, he looks cute" and thats about as far as the brain can process information, i assume its the same thought process for little boys. They have no understanding or knowledge of toxic relationship behaviors, or sex or anything that would be of concern.

Just going to say, unfortunately not all children that age are ignorant about sex and as a consequence can take things to disturbing places when "playing grown up". Telling a kid they can't have a boyfriend or girlfriend till they are in, say highschool, while not preventing from being friends with the opposite gender could help prevent them from being taken advantage of before they can even understand what is happening.

@@kiku-goldenflower7731 well, age appropriate learning. You can’t expect a toddler to understand the same explanation a 12 year old would. (I’m not a doctor or teacher, though. There’s probably some kind of guidelines for how to explain things depending on age group, written by professionals that parents can follow.) It’s just my opinion that this is a better option to protect children than simply banning dating. After all, some kids will try to date regardless, simply to oppose the rules.
@kiku-goldenflower7731
@kiku-goldenflower7731 Жыл бұрын
@LenaTate And that "age appropriate learning" could very well include telling say a six year old "You're too young for that kind of relationship and don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise so you don't get hurt" because it can cut off an avenue of manipulation by older kids, adults ect who try to tell them that "this is normal" and take advantage of the child's inability to understand concepts like informed consent.
