As a longarmer - most of my customers don't want the trim and tell me to toss. I do - right into my bins. i am chairperson for our QOV group. I’m under the weather I’ve watched this 3 times 😊 This quilt at first wasn’t sure about it but in the end it’s stunning! I realize you can use any 2 colors but gosh I love the pink. And I have next to nothing in my fabric stash in pink. That’s about to change😊😊

How fun! I can see a little 10 year old girl or a teen just loving this quilt! I like the way you organised your sewing, and plan to do the same. I'm glad I'm not the only one to make use of all the scraps! I put the tiniest ones in a big white milkglass bowl as I go, and thoroughly enjoy looking at the beautiful colors all together as I fill the bowl! It's a good way to see that I am also making progress. I don't use them as stuffing when the bowl is full, but I give them to a friend of mine does! She stuffs dog beds for the Friends of Pets Thrift Shop.

I agree with you! Two and a half inch strips can be the basis of many quilt designs. It gives you a strategy to cope with every kind of fabric design and color. As shown in the video, you can select a color scheme and be on your way to successful scrap style patchwork. Red, yellow and blue; patriotic colors, all pastels: there are lots of ways to unify scraps.
