It truly is one of those "so bad it's great" kind of movies. But I can't help but wonder if people just a few years younger would never get the same feeling from it as those of us who were just old enough to have grown up with the cold war looming as our ever-nearing demise.

@lancer7373 жыл бұрын
@@DIEGhostfish the Italian orchestrated music is very much more superior than the Japanese score in Macross. Also the lore created is very much more superior and interesting in Robotech than Macross. In fact Macross 2 is a massive ripoff of the Southern Cross era of Robotech, both the main characters are blonde short haired women that are part Zentradi / Meltron, they both have red Veritechs / Valks, they both cause trouble for the Defense forces, their main antagonists are from a species that originally made and or controlled the Zentradi / Zentron, The are both purple haired aces that use Red Bioroid mecha. And the Anti-Culture is very much inspired by the Invid. The majority of Macross stories are bad or weird, even Macross Zero is cursed with a dumb plot device, in this case, singing aliens. Robotech on the other hand overall has great stories, it has loads of source books that flesh out the other mecha and countries in Robotech with fantastic fast amounts of detail. Frankly also, Robotech has way more Destroid pilots that are characters unlike Macross which might only have some pilots for the OG Macross only.
