Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. @@SynterraSteen No? My main point here is that they're both in school and not working. If they were 33 and still had the same amount of debt but weren't in school, this would be easier to tackle. I work in commercial brokerage, and it’s a boys club of the who’s who of the industry. If you’re a 23 year old with little to no connections, don’t expect to get paid any commissions any time soon. That’s why most commercial brokerages pay out at least a small salary for junior staff and then shift to commission-heavy structure once you’re more senior and can hold your own. It goes without saying, but he should find a shop that will at least pay him a salary. He might not be rolling in riches, but at least he’ll eat.

Pt make average starting off 70k so I wouldn’t say that’s bad and that’s with a masters or DPT. I feel like that’s good as a start off but to go back to school for nursing you would have to go through Med school and even then you won’t make a desired wage right away have you thought that through?

Now is on the fast track to getting a BCBA fully paid by the company she works for with the potential of making the same pay as an occupational therapist without the student loan debt. @@dexterm1285 maybe a transitional DPT (tDPT) costs around that amount (now much more though im sure- at least 50% more). However, ATSU's current DPT program is closer to 120k (not including cost of living of course) for their DPT program so you're not comparing apples to apples. Not a fair or helpful comparison and misleading. Medical education is very expensive and most would say overpriced. At the end of the day we need doctors, nurses and physical therapists. I don't know how helpful it is to blame medical professionals for taking on debt instead of focusing on the issue at hand which is the cost of education.

@@joshheiller2710 seems to make more sense to then get tDPT...no reason to get into huge debt for a DPT. She also went to college in the Philippines (where she is from) and passed all her exams in the US. So total cost of her education maybe around $25k or so instead of paying $100k+... US education system is a joke now and way overpriced for what you get.
