I personally know a guy that called his engagement off because he found out that his fiance had been hiding an $89,000 debt from him. He said that he couldn't trust her anymore because if she's lying about this. Then what else has she been hiding from me.

There is absolutely no incentives for men to get married, in the modern age. The divorce courts are extremely biased against men, its ridiculous.
@votewaldo9876
@votewaldo9876 6 жыл бұрын
@@Ms.SassyPants1980 lots of incentives for a woman. In 95% of custody battles, the woman wins, and gets full custody of the kids. Then, as a man, you have to pay, child support, spousal support, you'll have to keep paying the mortgage of the house you no longer live in. And, you barely get to see your kids. They'll be raised by mamas new boyfriend, living in the house you're paying for, and on the top of everything, you'll be vilified, as the mother brainwashes the kids against you. Mhmm, i wonder why the suicide rate of post divorced men skyrockets.

My only problem with Dave is that he is a huge shill for marriage, which unfortunately does not benefit modern men in any way. 50% of his episodes are about telling people to get married, even when they are not in a financial situation where marriage is safe. His business is money, and as a male viewer it seems odd to me that he is so quick to encourage men to risk half their assets on a woman.

Profit Glutton, Dave is really walking a tightrope when giving advice. He know that a large percentage of his listeners are women so he does not want to say anything to offend them - it would affect his bottom line. As a result, the advice he gives men is often watered down. He rarely criticizes women.@Profit Glutton

@@daves2520 Dave is very religious and religious institutions encourage marriage, however it is not his place to discourage men or to berate women he is simply giving his best advice on the assumption that the marriage will succeed. Marriage is not the problem the problem is women that don't understand what it takes to make a good marriage and the legal system that encourages women to get to divorced and then rewards them for doing so.

Not necessarily, it looks like the wife was awarded about a third of his salary. Which is in line with what happens in divorce court when a couple has been together for years. It's one of the reasons why no man should ever marry a woman that isn't working as he'll be expected to provide enough money for her to continue not working in case of divorce. The lawyer debt though is ridiculous. Under no circumstance should he be expected to pay that much for such a poor job.

@SmallSpoonBrigade
@SmallSpoonBrigade 5 жыл бұрын
@John Kevin How else do you handle that? The government doesn't provide attorneys like they do in criminal cases. And even in criminal cases, the attorneys vary from having Alzheimer's, literally, to being quite good. The best case is to do like my brother did and hire a mediator to negotiate the division of assets. It's a lot less expensive than involving the courts as by the time you get to court, virtually everything is done and just needs the court to sign off on the plan. Unfortunately, that only works in cases where the two parties are on relatively good terms. I'm guessing that in this case, there was something going on that drove up the legal expenses. Not that I disagree with divorce being set up in a way that massively favors women at the expense of men.
