I absolutely agree. I don’t listen unless Dave is on and I wish he were the only one. I understand that he’s trying to grow his brand beyond just him, but no one can answer like he does. He has something interesting to say every time, even though I’ve been listening for years. I could give the advice the personalities give. Dave just has something that’s not duplicatable.

To the kid who inherited the stocks, I wonder which stocks they were. If they are Berkshire Hathaway, just leave it. Talk to grandpa and ask to learn how he invested and his theory how he invested. Come at it from a place of awe and respect. The old man gave you 500k, so he did something right and just because you just came out of school with a finance degree doesn't mean nothing to a man that's lived life and done well. Life education > school education.

Loved this episode! I've missed listening to Dave by himself without the co-hosts. So glad I found this episode. I just wish there was more of them. I wish there was a way to go back and listen to all the old episodes before he had co-hosts, and what I'd absolutely love is to able to all the way back and listen to the original radio show, which I believe was The Money Game. If there were a way, I'd go back to the beginning and listen to every single episode, which would probably take years, but I would absolutely love to be able to do that!!

1:15:00 you need to consider where you want to live as well. You're probably sacrificing some house value gain. To have less risk for 2 or 3 years. The result is the same either way. Youre spending the next 2 or 3 years on a tight budget to get back to homeownership.

My mother n law had for 27 years Alzheimers, she was in long term care for 10+years. She ended up going on medicare and medicade through the state. I don't think they can take a spouses home away that does not have Alzheimers and there are like 100k plus cash they have to leave to the spouse. There are ways around this, not so good, but there are ways like divorce or abandonment to leave the spouse to the state. I would want my husband to do this if it were me with Alzheimers-I am not saying this is good, but I would not want him to be destitute-and if I had Alzheimers I would not know. My mother in law did not stay in fancy nursing homes-the people were great who cared for her-but it was not a beautiful place in any respect-but she had told us in advance these specific places she wanted to stay, bc this runs in her family and most live to 90-she was 89 going on 90 before she passed
