I really think the combination of nates music and your ability to explain it in a way that is more in depth yet easily digestible for the listener can do a lot of good. People who find comfort and community within nates music can come here and get a new sense of understanding in what they may be struggling with. No scary appointments, no having to hit rock bottom before they find the courage to ask for help. This content that you make may just be the bridge that someone needs that can encourage them to make that next step.

a few thoughts of what to react to next. - Since NF builds off of previous songs and has a journey, if you can react through the progression, maybe reacting to a full album in order. - It would be great if eventually you react to all of his songs. - If you want an individual song name then i would suggest "Hate Myself"

I agree with the lyrics; as soon as I make an accomplishment, especially with my mental health, and I try to give myself credit, my borderline personality slaps any positivity towards me away and puts me back in check with false negative thoughts. I can write this to you and be aware of this issue, but getting my brain to accept it and believe these truths is a whole different fight. 😢
@HeartSupport6 ай бұрын
From DyllonKG: @isabella9654 Hey my friend. Thank you so much for posting and opening up about this. Often I feel this in my bones - so I wanted to reach out and let you know that you're not alone. You mention BPD and sort of acknowledging that, while you logically know these thoughts are a sort of external thought, it doesnt stop them from emotionally turning you inside out. That has to be hard friend. It has to be hard to feel like you can't stop the flood - that you can see it coming, see that you didn't cause it, only to still be washed away in it's wake. At one point in my personal stint in therapy, my therapist brought up the possibility of BPD. I frequently would squash myself down, ruminate on the bad stuff, and have the hardest time letting go. Not to mention thinking in black and white terms constantly - which led to me never leaving room for myself to "exist in the grey" and simply be a human. I was exhausting and so demoralizing. I have faith in you. I genuinely believe in you. BPD recovery is hard and extensive but it can and often does go into remission. I was obviously privileged enough to get help and go to DBT - which I understand is me speaking from a place of privilege. I just want you to know that you're doing great. That I think you can make it to the other side of this thing. That you're doing your best and dammit that's good enough. We're all proud of you friend. Hold fast, okay?
@isabella96546 ай бұрын
@@HeartSupport First, thanks for the reply and your kind words, they really mean a lot. They especially mean a lot from someone who has gone through similar experiences and feelings that I have with BPD. I am lucky and privileged enough to be able to go to weekly CBT which is covered by my insurance; I'm disabled with epilepsy, so thankfully Medicaid covers my therapy completely and I've been able to go consistently for roughly 10 years now. I know DBT is a highly suggested and successful therapy for BPD but I've stayed in CBT because my social anxiety makes it difficult to go out much, much less open up to multiple people in therapy. I know it's a great therapy method for in the moment mindfulness which is essential for those suffering with BPD. How did you like your experience in DBT? I am currently working on rumination now in therapy, specifically setting timers so that I can empty my cup of the emotions that need to be released and felt, so that I may heal while also not allowing myself to ruminate for hours. The timer really helps me empty that cup, and sit in those emotions while ensuring I'm not causing un-needed pain by sitting on those thoughts too long and beating myself up. I very much still split, and think in black and white with little to no room for the grey which has been a long standing issue for me. Lately, I've been trying to work on not ruminating on things I can't control, and instead make the best, if not better, of what I can control. You mentioned BPD can go into remission, and I have had moments of remission in my 10 years of therapy, but what mainly has happened was I went from having "typical" BPD to becoming more of the "quiet" BPD patient, and implode on myself instead of outwardly as I use to. I can't say thank you enough for your comment, and words of care, and wisdom, It means a lot! I am trying to help others myself by being an advocate for mental health, especially BPD, and epilepsy. I wanted to go into neurology with a subspecialty in epileptology, but then I became diagnosed with refractory epilepsy, and my ability to fill a position like that isn't safe for me nor the patient, so being a patient advocate is my next best option. Thankfully, I do have a backup job planned, and that will be the route I go, and I have begun taking some schooling in the meantime until I can begin working again once my seizures are better controlled.
