Hello Dave, thanks again for another brilliant episode. I am just wondering what your overall opinion of the advantages of the AR637T are over the AR636? I can see the setup can be done directly with the tx, (although that doesn’t look that simple to me), and that there is the option of up to ten flight modes. However I am very happy using the Spektrum Programmer, and don’t think I need more than three flight modes. Is there any other advantage, particularly when it comes to actual flying? Hi Dave Congrats for your amazing videos, explaining complex things in easy words 😀 I still have a question concerning flightmodes (FM): I want 3 Rx FM (the same as you show - AS3X off, AS3X on, SAFE) to be changed with a three position switch on my DX9. But I also want 5 Tx FM (launch, cruise, thermal, speed, land) for my sailplane, each with different mixings, flaperon positions and dual rates, selectable by two three position switches. Will then each of the three Rx FM be applicable for each of the 5 Tx FM? Thanks for your help, Daniel

when i finished forward programming, safe was working but when i switched to as3x, safe was still on. what did i do wrong. i assigned switch A which is normally a gear channel.

Thanks for the videos! Been using my extra receivers following your programming tutorials. Is the envelope just like intermediate mode where the model has limits but does not return to level flight?

Dave I've watched to the best of my ability but have been stumped ! My NX8 TX switch B doesn't switch between Flite modes, inside fwd programing. My Rx is registered & updated along with my Tx. I have tried factory reset, then step by step, I'm lost at this point. Thanks for your help in advance.

What would cause my flight controls to be exactly opposite of what they should be in Safe. I am using a ix20 and and a Spektrum 637T. The aircraft control throws are set up to spec and respond exactly as they should until I turn on safe. When safe is enabled the controls react exactly opposite as to what they should. I set the modes as you suggested. Also is there a way the return to Safe first time setup and start the programming process without a complete factory reset of the receiver? Help.

SAFE responding opposite of the flight controls would suggest that the receiver orientation is set incorrectly. You definitely want to sort that out, as it will also have an effect on the way stabilization responds and result in a crash. The only way I know of to get back to the first time safe setup is to reset the receiver.

When I turn on safe and do my turn for my approach I can’t bank it and turn like I do with the AR636 receivers I have to turn it off line up and then turn it on is their a way I can fix that would I have to set it to envelop?

No, it should work in self leveling/angle demand. When you say you can’t bank it, what exactly do you mean by that? Is the plane just staying level and the wings won’t bank at all when you’re in SAFE mode?

This looks way to complex for me to setup. Hopefully v2 will be a little simpler. Love the concept though.

David Wilson it’s not as bad as it looks. I just like to be as thorough as I can. Once you get it in your plane and figure out what’s going on you can program the receiver and have it fully set up and ready to fly with all features enabled in 10-15 minutes.
