Honestly, I would've considered an upside down house for the seaside bungalow. You spend most of your day in the living areas; it would be lovely to have those amazing views during the day.

I think with Paul and Ryan.. great house and it's absolutely beautiful. I would hope that Ryan could learn to come up with alternative ideas as often sticking to the one you want and are dead set on having isn't always the best choice. He's lucky to have Paul with such a calm and forgiving demeanor. If he'd only wait 5 minutes, he'd realize that decisions can be win-win . . .which is what happened in the end. Beautiful house in a beautiful place. Very fortunate to be able to make you dreams come true. Enjoy

A cheap alternative for mould treatment is using a mould treatment in your paint. I used Dettol which is a type of first aid disinfectant for wounds. It worked great despite all the other units in the building had serious mould issues.

The front facade of the seaside home is horrendous. The interior is a mess of various styles....none of which are good.
@NYCHeartandSoul3 жыл бұрын
The facade really needs work. A designer or architect would have been very useful for that element. There are nice interior features, e.g., staircase, but I agree it doesn’t quite gel. The stark white kitchen seems harsh. Some wood elements could have warmed the room and given a more cohesive look that extended to the dining room. The upstairs bedroom with the view works really well.

Considering most of Sarah's excellent shows...Is anyone else thinking that UK is headed for the same mistake that USA made: Ridding the charm of traditional housing for the newest look--which, in a few decades, will become as outmoded and frowned upon as the 80s are now. Kinda hurts to see charming villages with the "newest look" popping up around them.

Does absolutely NO ONE buy paintings anymore???? I see so many houses that are in desperate need of good Art work. And I see so many houses with hideous things on the walls; FACTORY MADE tableaux, clichéd phrases (Live Love Laugh), REPRODUCTIONS of road signs or advertisements (not even the real things, which are bad enough). I am deeply sad about this.

Sometimes people’s taste has not evolved to that point, they’ve not evolved to appreciate fine art. It may not be a priority until all the budget is spent, too!
@andreaandrea67163 жыл бұрын
@@rubyhaze1 I have struggled financially my WHOLE life but have collected Art from an early age. I will frame things that friends have done, I've framed pictures done by children (often more interesting than self-conscious works by adults!) ... and I have bought pictures on lay-away and barter and found treasures in thrift/charity shops. There are a million ways to acquire original Art and none of it has to cost a fortune. Even galleries are open to 'working things out.' It just makes me so sad to see people put commercial rubbish on their walls, seemingly unaware of their choices ... or too unimaginative to look and think past the ends of their noses.

The front of the bungalow now is just as uninspiring und boring as the old one was. Why not create a pretty outer appearance as well? In the end, you blocked the view of the neighbours behind you, why not at least give them something pretty to look at?
