They never do. They were happy to leave Australian citizens to rot in Guantanamo Bay and in refugee camps in the Middle East (including children). They won't lift a finger to help any ordinary Australian citizen detained without just cause in either the US or the UK. Worse, they will cheerfully repeat whatever propaganda the US spouts about any ordinary Australian citizen the US has decided they don't like. And, once upon a time, they were perfectly happy to provide Nazi war criminals with safe haven.

The man is a hero and has more courage than I have , he is stand up for the freedoms you and I enjoy and should get all our support . The system is making an example of him . I lost relatives fighting the Germans in Ww2 but don't hate all germans.
