Actually hadn't even thought of that. These guys boggle my mind though lol. When I was a kid my dad went to work at night from around 6 and didn't get home until 4 in the morning. His second job was from 8am until 2:30pm, then he'd pick me and my sister up from school, take a nap while we watched TV, and drop us off at our moms after she got out of work. So, to the reactors, that's when people like that sleep. Very little and whenever they can.

All the funnier because in Ancient Rome, homosexuality was not only tolerated but EXPECTED, especially between members of nobility/people in powerful positions and those beneath them. It was considered an ultimate show of your dominance as a male to top another male beneath you. Making it a historical in-joke about Octavius respecting Jed secretly to the point of developing attraction AND being willing to submit to him as well... a HUGE sign of male on male respect in Rome.

So, as far as cameras go, there’s a distinct possibility the museum either doesn’t have them or they don’t actually record. That’s actually a huge problem with museums. They tend to be underfunded so when security systems break they tend not to get fixed. I used to listen to a heist podcast and it was crazy how many museums just didn’t have working cameras or sensors.

Children, when we arrive in this world magic is all around us. You simply have to see a baby discover a butterfly or a toddler splash in the bath for the first time... Yet as the years pass, simple pleasures aren't quite so simple to find. Myths... Legends... Fall away. Santa's secrets are revealed. Card tricks lose their fascination. True wonder is hard to come by... But there is always magic at the movies. Pirate ships... bicycles that fly... angels earn their wings, beautiful women marry handsome men and we all learn that there is no place like home. To destroy that magic, to shatter those moments to me is a sin so grave it would almost be incomprehensible! If there truly is a phantom, my young friends, I assure you it most definitely is not me.

24:28 The interesting thing is that this tracks with a part of Egyptian culture. Egyptian mythos states that its magicians would create clay or *wax* dolls called shabti that would come to life and serve as helpers and assistants. It very much mirrors the behavior of the wax figures of the museum, but without a master to serve, so it’s very likely that the tablet was initially used to control the shabti in the past.

Fun fact: Even though the movie goes with the "Sac-ah-jaw-wee-ah" pronunciation, that isn't the consensus of most experts on how her name was pronounced. All we have is Lewis & Clark's notes, the Hidatsa language, and the Shoshone language to go by (the Hidatsa were her captors and she was Shoshone by blood). Generally, academics prefer the Hidatsa pronunciation (for historical reasons I won't go into) which would have been either "Sah-ka-ke-wee-ah" or "Sah-ka-guh-wee-ah". Given the uncertainty in the pronunciation, the officially spelling is Sacagawea which allows for the hard "g" or soft "j" sound but others prefer the spelling Sakakawea to represent the hard k sound. Its pretty interesting and I'd recommend learning more about it.
