I’ve had to watch reactions to make sense of the ending. I think that Lee Harker is now taking the role of Longlegs. There is some supernatural aspect that is causing her to be “stuck.” She doesn’t go to try and stop her boss from killing his wife I think because she’s “stuck.” And her gun is apparently not out of bullets when she tries to shoot the doll, but misfired multiple times. All of this is apparently some kind of meddling from the devil.
