Amaura could probably survive in cold areas like Northern Sinnoh and the Crown Tundra, unless it has to be Antarctic levels of cold.

I'm pretty sure you can find wild amaura in the crown tundra so they probably did transfer some there But the problem is that tyrantrum also live in the crown tundra,and it's amaura's predator The ancient tundra that was inhibited by them were cold enough to keep the tyrantrum out,but crown tundra doesn't seem to be enough for that,so even that's probably not enough cold for amaura

A couple of headcanons I just came up with: If Team Rocket’s Meowth ever evolves into a Perrsian, he’ll still be bipedal. I do think it's a really cute story that this one kid was so sad that Lapras were going extinct that he breed a bunch of them to save the population. The pokemon company actually heard about this story and decided to honor it in one of the future games where its Pokedex entry changed. Now it's said that Lapras are no longer at risk of extinction thanks to efforts to help grow their population.
