I am in the same boat but some what different at the age of 28. Man life been so crappy beyond belief 😪 I hate my 20s bro. My plate is way overflowing. It's like I am raising two kids (my parents). On top of that not having any girl want me. Money is not there, I don't have my own place. Life is been hell and trash. I barely see a light at the end of the tunnel Hafeez. I see some light cuz of my therapist. Thanks to Kevin Samuels I even went to one after 8 years of dealing with mental health problems. Life is just beyond crappy. It's much more negatives than positives bro. But the therapy definitely helps and that's one of the key steps like Kevin the God father says. But ok bro I will listen to you and go with your advice. U been in the same shoes so I know ur not lying. Ur living proof of making it out of that part of life and becoming successful. I can't tell you how much I needed this bro. I really appreciate you bro, love u from the bottom of my heart. I am honesty crying and shaking writing this bro. 😢 it's hard to hold back emotions cuz finally I ran across someone who went through what I am going through since being 20 and who I look up to. I will play this video everytime I am down and in doubt and not happy. Thanks for the advise bro. It's really refreshing to hear this. From now on I will change my mindset. I never though of it that way even though I love God ask for his guidance, help, love, and forgiveness. U making me think know. 🤔. So this is where I am put by God ok gotcha bro I will start embracing it and enjoying it while continuing to improve myself everyday. Much love bro and may God bless you 🙏 ❤.

The frustrating thing about being a young man is no one really gives you a chance. You have to put in the work, ,and eventually profit from the results.
@jashonbass8350
@jashonbass8350 3 жыл бұрын
I’m not exactly sure in what context you mean this but when it comes to money, get your foot in the door by taking the risk away from the person you want to give you an opportunity and show them that you can get great results and you’ll have no problem. The reality is that however old you are, there are younger men doing what you want to do. Don’t accept these stories you’re telling yourself (“because I’m young I can’t do XYZ”), you can. Take extreme ownership over the outcomes in your life and go do what you need to do to get what you want in life

I agree with this advice. Stop worrying about what others are doing. I loved my 20s and I’m turning 40. Do what makes you happy, work hard, build yourself up, get and grow skills, have fun, be kind and generous, love your family, and all good things will come. I stayed single and it was a great decision and waited for my 30s to settle down. 19 - moved out and never moved back home 23 - graduated college, got my first Corp job making 47k 25 - promoted, 75k 28 - bought a 5br/3ba house and lived alone. Had a new truck and car. 29 - promoted, 100k. I renovated my house all on my own Looking back it was a lot of fun, being not married and tied down. It allowed me to grow the way I needed to before getting married and being a dad. The whole time I never tried to do what others were doing. Or rushing to find a wife. I did what made sense to me and made me happy. I still do what makes me happy, but I put my wife and kids first. And it’s nice that I’ve grown so much and have good earning where I can comfortably do that.

But I would have to say the most useful life skills I picked up was living and owning a home by myself in my 20s. Financial literacy, auto repair like changing a timing belt ore brake jobs, plumbing like replacing a water heater or replacing a grommet in a dishwasher, laying tile or hardwood floors, small engine repair… I’ve save so much money knowing how to do maintenance and diy repairs.

Coming up on 4 years being in LA, and I've been having moments of feeling like maybe I need to go back to the east coast especially as of lately. I know my purpose I know what my god mission is but the loneliness of this journey of self growth can be overbearing at times especially when you live in a place like LA that is so based on comparison and masks. I can say genuine authentic relationships is what I truly desire but I also know that to find those people YOU HAVE to stay on this journey you have to keep pushing because even though it'll be hard and lonely you'll make it through and that tribe will come!

I really needed to hear this! I recently graduated college and I’m trying to figure out the hardest question: “what is my purpose in life?” I continuously ask myself this and never fail to get fearful that I’ll make the wrong decisions and harbor regret for missed opportunities. Sufficed to say, I haven’t really come up with an answer yet, but there have always been times where I compare my choices in life to other people and wonder if I’m doing the right thing. This is very toxic and dangerous, because this mindset either made me depressed or urged me to beat myself up and self-isolate. The reality is you never know what the other person’s life is like, and you close yourself off to the possibilities and new ideas that only you can bring to this world… I hate ranting so I’ll stop here, but either way thanks again for the video. This is great advice!

I hope it all goes well for you brother. I was at a similar situation in my life where my soul was empty and I was depressed. It was until I developed a relationship with God that I found all that I needed. He is a loving Father that wants to lead His children and God is my everything honestly. When the world cast me out for nothing God was the one who wiped the tears off my face and welcomed me with loving arms. God is truly the greatest and I don’t even deserve to have Him as my Father. Attach yourself to God and it will be the greatest decision you will ever make in your life brother. Trust me because I was at the lowest of lowest and only God was there for me. Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and to the end of ages.

I don't usually write a comment on videos that I watch but I have to for this one!! Great video Hafeez! Really needed this since I am 23 years old and have been suffering from comparing myself with others for many years. Whether it be that I am not good enough and everyone around me is better than me along with many, many other people around the world that feel the same way as I do for sure sadly enough! But, one quote that I love and would like to share is this: "Life is meant to be experienced, not figured out."

I thank platforms like these because it helped in some many ways that I could’ve never imagined. I am 21 right now and going into my last year in college. I started this self development journey when I was 20 because I was tired of living a life with no found purpose. I’ve always felt as my life is different from everyone else but I was wasting my talents staying up late, doing nothing throughout the day, just wasting time. Once quarantine hit, I knew change had to happen. Now, im on this journey of becoming a basketball coach once I finish school, creating a performance coaching business, creating a brotherhood/sisterhood program for my high school, and dabbling in a bunch of other hobbies. Again, without channels like these mentoring us, I wouldn’t fully be where I’m at today. So I thank you and will continue to be grateful for people like this

You are right, let me tell a quick story about me. I'm 26 yrs old, at 24 I got my IT degree but wasnt sure if that was what I wanted at the time. So I took a yr to prepare to pass the series of tests that you have to pass to engage on the police of my country and I did great on the majority but on the last test (psychological one) I wasnt qualified. The most important thing I realized on this whole yr that I took to prepare was how capable I am and that I really should pursuit an IT career, but if I was focused on other people grind I wouldnt have learned that we walk diferent paths one may go point A to B and other A to C and then B, but in the end we should stay true to our self.

Yo bro I’m already on the path you’re talking about I’m 22 and I understand my path is my own but the hard part is consistency when you know what you’re doing is right but you don’t feel the greatest even if things are going in the right direction that’s my personal hurdle right now. I appreciate you for putting this out because the comments show there are people out there on the same frequency as me and it’s just given me w little boost thank you.

Amen brotha 🙏 we need to stop comparing ourselves to others. I've been out of my 20s for a while now and I'm thankful for not playing that comparison game as I look back on life. I'm on the cusp of some great things with my startup that might not be possible had I followed the crowd. I also know a lot of people that know me and often would express feeling envious of my life they saw on social because I did get to travel the world and I'd tell them don't feel envious, that I had my struggles like we all do and pointed to the great things in their lives that I'd like to have also. It was very enlightening conversations for those people.

Remember time is worth much more than money. Stop blindlly chasing the money because when you reach your 60s and then you will think 'what I did for all this years.'This is why it is important to enjoy your life because you never know when your life will end. Do what makes you happy.
