I live in Cheticamp, and I must say that your trek around the trail was well done.

Great video! Beautiful scenery! Really enjoyed the waterfalls in the swimming area. The bakery and pastries made me want scones and an apple turnover. Thanks for sharing Canada with us!

I was just on skyline trail last Wednesday. The view was awesome. My vacation was short. I could only spend a day in Cape Breton national park.
@theRTWguys3 жыл бұрын
And we didn't even visit Skyline Trail, as it is the most popular trail in the park and we opted to explore lesser traveled trails -

Your video brought back great memories of Cheticamp and Cape Breton. The bakery in Cheticamp is incredible. Only thing you guys missed was the Skyline Trail. A great hike! That was our only hike while we were there, and I'd love to explore the trails shown here. A great job! Thanks.
@theRTWguys3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Randy! We had to skip Skyline Trail since they don't allow leashed dogs on the trail, and we always want to include Kana in our walks. Next time!

Tannins in the water that runs off of wet areas and turns the water brown. Like tea.

You can easily drive around the Englishtown Ferry, but it's kind of fun to take such a short ferry ride.

I love that you are showing just how big our little provinces are, full of natural beauty and culture (a little sad that there wasn't more bagpipes in the background music... but not everyone can appreciate their melodic tones, lol)
@theRTWguys3 жыл бұрын
We tried to find some bagpipers at the visitors center, and alas we didn't see or hear anything bagpipe-y during our visit 😅 That's why we didn't include it in our video this time around.

Thanks for this video! I’m visiting for the first time in about a month and this is a great reference. PS: I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but your voiceover is very reminiscent of Anthony Bourdain both in cadence and tone. :)
@theRTWguys Жыл бұрын
You're very welcome! We're glad to hear that you found the video helpful as you prepare for your upcoming visit. Also, thank you for your kind comparison to Anthony Bourdain's voiceover style - that's quite a compliment! If you have any more questions or need further information about your trip, feel free to ask. Have a fantastic time on your visit! 🌄👍

What month (and year) did you go? We are hoping to do the same trip this fall. We are 68 and have a Roadtrek. Any recommendations?

We went in mid July, and it was so wonderful to travel around Cape Breton. What kind of recommendations do you need?
@mikelorish37943 жыл бұрын
Thanks Guys for the great videos. We came across your channel a few weeks back, and are planning a trip to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland this summer. Your videos have been very informative. One question for you, we drive a 34 foot 5th wheel with a 3/4 tonne diesel truck. We are planning to stay in Cheticamp one night, and then drive the Cabot trail to camp in Ingonish the next night. Are the roads ok for a big RV like ours? And would we fit in the pull offs? Your thoughts would be appreciated!
@theRTWguys3 жыл бұрын
There were definitely big rigs around, although I'm sure it will be a tight fit of a road for yours. Not impossible, but use extra caution, I'd say. There are official campgrounds where you can park your rig overnight.
