look at how the Bedouins in Isarel are living? why doesnt Israel build for them settlements like the Jewish people ? What kind of country is this where there are two types of citizenships? one has the right for new homes and economic benefits..while the others live in ruined houses? and look like they are living in a third world country?? This apartheid state will not continue as long as injustice and humiliations is directed at some portion of the society. while the other are welcomed from Russia ..Romania and the world world and are given passports upon arrival..with full package of benefits... I thought the apartheid state in South Africa was the last..but here we can see a similar one supported by Europe..the United States and what is so called Democratic nations. we need to wake up and realize that is 2021 and still we can see this injustice ..but because we are afraid to talk and speak out,..we stay silent.

Well sorry to burst your bubble, but hitchhiking in Israel isn’t safe at all. I do it cus I’m broke. From Wikipedia: “Hitchhiking in Israel has been the source of political tension and has sometimes resulted in incident. The guy with the baseball cap & sunglasses -18:56 was very honest - there are some Bedouins who are very kind like him & his friends & some who are violent. There's a reason why Israelis don't go to Rahat. It's not because they don't like Arabs. A lot of Israelis would love to visit Arab towns on shabbat for a meal or shopping when it's their day off & most places are closed in Israel & many do go to Arab towns like Abu Ghosh near Jerusalem which is known for being very friendly to Jews. A lot of youtubers see things through rose colored lenses. You go somewhere filming & tell people it's for a youtube channel & most people are going to be friendly, most probably are nice people, but that doesn't mean most Arab towns are safe.
@theSalukie3 жыл бұрын
Yes. I hate the rose colored glasses approach, like Drew Binsky going to a Liberia, one of the least safe countries and the world and saying “people here are friendly”. That’s why I include stuff like what the sunglasses guy said, and that’s why I ask hard questions about the women’s role in society for example.

Good choice to visit Rahat & introduce viewers to some Bedouin in Israel. I've also had good experiences in Rahat & other Bedouin villages, both in the Negev & in Northern Israel. There are some fabulous initiatives by Bedouin women, which by their nature would not favour filming, but are worth knowing about, such as workshops to train Bedouin women in business skills & empower them with life skills, without detracting from their more traditional lifestyles. KZbin recommended one of your videos a few weeks ago & I've now watched several. Keep up the good work!

I used to work at the animal farm who took care of injured and abandoned animals near Jerusalem. Well a lot of those animals like horses and donkeys came from bedouins who abandoned them in some areas fastened to some column in the middle of hot summer. Burned and emaciated donkeys (the kids wrap around donkey cling film, spill gasoline and put it on fire), metal pieces in the heads of horses. You couldn't look at them without tears. I don't know why, but there a lot of junk in Rahat and Bedouins villages in Israel, unlike in Sinai for instance. Not to mention the level of violence people of Beer sheva and south of Israel get. I am not saying every Bedouin is bad, and I know what they mean when they are saying things about respect. Due to this "respect" their family suffering (clan wars). Women another big sad story. Many of them are hard workers, but many are also in drug, mafia and weapon business. I am sorry I had to write that, but you can't ignore this facts and need to talk about them, because you need to deal with them, but first you realize that this problems does exist.

Yes, he didn't really confront these issues in the video. Another thing they would sometimes do is cut the ears of dogs, in order to make them more manly. They just do it with a knife or scissors. Once I also had stones thrown at me and my dog by some beduim in the North. The issues in regards to general crime, crimes against women and dirt were also not mentioned. I think they are almost impossible to fix as they are sadly ingrained cultural practices going back thousands of years. Sometimes it is just 'cooler' to engage in crime and drug smuggling Honor killings , well I also don't see them stopping any time soon, they would rather sit in jail with so called honor for 30 years, then allow their daughter to marry a man she wasn't betrothed to. I hope it all changes, but i doubt it will any time soon.

well i imagine it would be difficult for him to say those things while he is there and not sure how they would take it, although i agree it is important to mention these problems in order to move from them, however there is a time and place for that too.@@amir_hetsroni_fan_club3798

Can I ask a production question: what are you filming these with? The footage looks great and is pretty stable!
@theSalukie3 жыл бұрын
DJI Osmo Action. My stability improved over time as I’ve learned to grip the camera better

@@theSalukie Thanks! I was assuming the DJI Pocket actually. I picked up something like that recently (the Fimi) and it looks pretty similar. Amazing how much quality you can get from something so tiny.
