Hi Savvy Expat. I'm intrigued, can you interview Mergim Vlogs giving that he lives in BGC as well?

Wait till you get sick then you’re in trouble. In Australia, public hospital healthcare is free to all Australian citizens and most permanent residents of Australia. A combination of Medicare, private health insurance and personal payments covers the cost of treatment as a private patient in a public or private hospital.

Health insurance is only about $200 a month in the Philippines and the and it’s a major medical tourism spot.

$1,000 rent in BGC is probably a 2-bedroom 50 to 60 sqm unit.
@stevem43710 ай бұрын
And he said $1,000 INCLUDING utilities. Where are they living?? A family of 4?? I rent my 76sqm, unfurnished, 2-BR for 65,000 pesos. And even that was a really good deal for the area.

Would I be able to live next to movie stars there if my income was $10,000 US dollars a month? or $5,000 a month?

There is no reason for anyone to live in BGC with $2-4k budget. You could go to any mid-west town in USA like Cincinnati or St Luis and everything will be the same like BGC or Makati. You wont see any difference. And your budget will be the same. So why go to BGC then?

How do I go to my 1,000 peso massage in Manila from Cincinnati? Also, how long is the flight from Cincinnati to Boracay? I go twice a year at a cost of 50,000 pesos for two weeks. And can I get Ubereats to deliver my favorite lechon from Greenhills to Cincinnati? Also, is the weather in Cincinnati the same as in Manila? And can I hire a live in maid for 8,000 pesos (US$144) a month in Cincinnati?
@TheSavvyExpat10 ай бұрын
Because BGC is safer, cleaner, zero to none homelessness, no political division, hospitable people, 2 hours away from a tropical beach, no cold winters, and close to the rest of southeast asia. Plus services here are far cheaper.

midwest? eew. you get out of that godforsaken, shithole country because drugs, crime, and worldliness are over the place, a hell for kids and the elderly.

@@robocop581 If you like massages, lechon and live in maids you should be in Borocay, Porto Calera or Panglao but not in BGC. Think!
@VittoShulman10 ай бұрын
@@TheSavvyExpat Wrong! Everything is better in Cincinnati compared to BGC. Rent is cheap, food is cheap and much better: REAL stakes and BBQ, fresh fruit and veg. NO LINES! There is no crime or beggars in downtown. And you have all the amenities like parks, libraries, gyms, tramway, parking for your car, wide highways, good customer service, police, hospitals - everything works and makes sense. Beautiful and well mannered people. And you are one hour drive to state parks with CLEAN lakes and rivers and no hassle. FISHING, golfing, just a walk in pine forest with fresh air and quiet environment - free in Cinci!!! Everyday. Not possible in BGC. All of that for the SAME BUDGET you spend in BGC. And the weather in Cinci is much better: you have FOUR SAESONS each year! - try that in Manila.

I think that BGC is too overpriced.
@TheSavvyExpat10 ай бұрын
I disagree, I think the quality of life you get here makes it worth. Besides, if BGC were priced like any other city in the country it we wouldn’t get this quality of life in the first place.

I've seen condos for $600-$1000 there , which is not overpriced for a modern city.
