These Are My Official Settings / Stats In SESSION

One of the most asked questions I get is: "JL, what are your settings in Session??" So in this video I will be showing you all of my Stats and Settings that I use for every Session video.
Here are the official JL Nightmare Settings with Number Values
Stats are numbered 0 - 20 | 10 is Default

After Easy Day decided to go the dumpster fire route, I recently decided to switch to Session. I absolutely love it (even though I’m still trash in grinding with any sort of consistency lol). Started watching your videos and tutorials as a result. I love your stuff! Thanks for constantly showing us in depth tutorials and staying entertaining whilst doing so. I tried following your settings, and you sum it up pretty well in the first 20 seconds. Your stats are constantly being adjusted depending on what you do. And so I eventually just went back to default because at least then I wasn't having to tweak my stats around as much. I think some people watching will assume its a, "Set it and forget it." but its really not, and so im glad you mentioned it so early in the video.

Well.. here’s the thing, my stats are pretty much set and forget for me. When I say they change sometimes.. I mean for like bigger stuff that even default can’t do or some very technical tricks like hippy flips. My gravity always stays the same, flip and scoop speed same, low pop same, like 95% of my stats are always the same, just certain times I might need a small boost in Ollie or a bit more push speed

numbers on the sliders would be a nice, and presumably pretty easy to implement, QOL upgrade. fingers crossed that it's one of the things they do while they're working on the pause menus for the next update

I actually have my revert setting on full as well. I had problems of not being able to revert on default. Once in a great while I'll accidently revert when I'm trying to turn but other then that I enjoy it

I like having flip speed turned down so that I can barely land a double flip and scoop speed is also really low for nice tre flips. Think my body rotation speed is also down so that I can jjuuust about land a 360 if I use side pop. Other than that mines identical to yours :)

I pretty much have the same settings 👍except my only problem with increasing board to body distance is it seems to mess up shuvits while in primo. idk if it's just my game tho🤔 have you experienced this?

You didn't cover grind camera distance, grind horizontal offset, and grind vertical offset, which are set differently than the defaults. But thanks for everything else.

It’s the exact same process as setting regular camera. Same angles. Camera changes to what you set as soon as you enter a grind / slide.

I used these exact settings to play on a Series S. The frame rate goes super low though and the game play is insanely choppy. It looks terrible and like the system isn't capable of running it and thus drops frames and gets crazy choppy. Do you think that is what's going on since it's running on an underpowered Series S? And do you think a Series X would be able to run these settings without all the choppiness? The Series X is just incredibly hard to locate right now.

These gameplay settings have nothing to do with frame rate or the look of the game. It’s Video settings that affect that. There should be some settings in the video settings. Setting to a different mode might help. It should be running at 60fps on series S.

I’m going to have to wait and see if the devs patch the game soon since there are a bunch of challenges that don’t work. Also It’s going to take quite a while to edit since the new way I’m doing it is typing out all the information and having to refilm all the previous 130 challenges

You can, but at the moment Ollie North and other one foot is bugged and doesn’t work. So has nothing to do with my settings, it’s just they haven’t fixed it yet

So for some reason my front foot is always slightly visible trough the board, and when I pop an ollie the skater moves back on the board causing half the foot cutting through it. Never encountered it before, bugs my experience af! Any thoughts on why?

its usually caused when skating Goofy ( or reg switch ) Regular Nollie. its just a bug until they fix up the tricks. you can combat this a bit by raising the Pop Board To Body Distance.

You need to make sure everything is updated. So update Mod Manager, update the Patcher, and all previous mods from 0.0.0.9 won’t work. You need the updated ones. Check the Pinned comments of the How To Install Mods video for details

what's the difference between pressure and default body rotation?

Pressure rotation is based on how much pressure you apply to the triggers. So it’s like Manual rotation however the skater will keep the momentum even after letting go of the trigger. It makes the movement smoother. I used to use pressure before they added Manual rotation, it’s a pretty good option

hey big problem and i was wondering if you could help every time i try to load up a map from the mod manager it loads the game but then says that the game art could not be found ive uninstalled the mod manager and each induvidual map but it still doesnt work! all help is appreciated!??

Are you trying to load an outdated map? Or are you downloading the maps right from Mod Manager store? Seems like the maps is either installed incorrectly or just incompatible. Even after uninstalling the map, the game is still trying to load the broken map. Try deleting the entire Session folder (the one located in the “SteamApps>Common” folder) then reinstalling the game from steam and try modding again. Make sure you have the most updated Mod Manager and Patcher first

I’m not sure, haven’t tried the challenges since completing them months ago. Others seem to be able to pass it lately so it does work. Time of day doesn’t matter for the parking garage challenges. Are you sure you are registering the right tricks and doing them in the correct locations?

Don’t pay attention to the trick names, they are still being worked on. Also if you are doing 3shoves when trying to tre. You have to flick the front foot Before letting go of the back foot. If you let go of the back foot after scooping, you do a quick shove

Before? I know that if you kind of hop and little feet kick when landing it means you caught the board wrong or are encountering an occasional bug

@@JLNightmare Nah it looks like when you try to do a late flip on vanilla SXL, he's tweaking the board, then returns to normal then does the shuvit (which looks a lot like the tweak). But don't worry about it, I'll figure it out, only bought Sesh 2 days ago :)

Oh, so your foot is going into the pocket? If so, you’re not pushing the back foot stick Straight down. You’re slightly pushing the back foot off to the side. Try pushing the back foot completely straight down

@@JLNightmare reallz not sure, just tried again and what it really looks like is this: he does the late shuv perfectly, board does spin perfectly and he lands it perfectly. what is happening tho is that the board starts spinning like a half or full second too late which is why it looks like a leg glitch and then the shuvs happens when my feet are already going to catch basically :/
