Roflmao. I had actually forgotten about the shadowpriest healer key until just now! I lost my mind laughing about that. All I could think of the whole time was the fury warrior with one weapon. Too funny. Gosh I hope I still find the odd funny key now that I am moving into 20s almost exclusively. Most of the stuff I have been seeing this week has been sad disbands from impatient people. Still got my vault filled, though so all good. (I even got to runa key with Faxxie, which was an honour for sure.) But anything funny I do find, you can bet I will send it to you. Gotta keep the hilarity train going. 😉

there is never ever any reason to be a dick, it actually makes people feel really bad, nobody wants to be put down playing a game, it sucks.. that being said, if you are going to hop into a 20, which are very timeable at this point in the season even if you are undergeared, you should have a basic understanding of how your spec works.. obviously people learn at different paces. Never an excuse to put someone down though.

You make a good point about not inviting super high IO players to certain keys. I'm only 3k score and I am always afraid when someone applies to my 24/25 when they've timed it on both weeks already. I haven't had any issue this season at that range, just the typical leavers cause of the key being bricked, but you see some manchilds while filling the vault on alts in 18s.

I always mark the tank. I play completely zoomed out and this is a good way to know where the tank is. Good to avoid frontals, good for stacking etc. I actually don't play the key before it starts if the tank insists to take it off.

The DK with low gs was really just boosted by friends, but it's a huge issue that they don't ask the random. Recently went a 20 atal with a group doing the same, only difference was that they asked if it's ok if we do this. Me and the other random were fine with it and we went +2 with 10 deaths, all 10 the rogue instantly dying to aoes :D Being tank spec makes him able to survive while being boosted.

I did one of the funniest keys I've ever had last night. Had a DK tank in a 23 ToTT pull only the first group on the first hallway (with lust and cd's) only to get global'd somehow (on 3 mobs) in .8 seconds. He then proceeded to run back and get global'd again in .9 seconds. The mage in the group then drops a portal and says "here is a port to Valdraken" and left. I still can't stop laughing.

Hey Metro! As a Healer, I always want the tank to be group leader as I use macros that are specifically for certain party members. For example I got a specific keybind to dispel party1, which is always the leader. Also it is convenient to have the tank always on top of my healer UI

Some people are weird :D I was putting together a group, we´re all inside buffing up and suddenly the tank leaves saying: sorry, don´t feel like boosting today. Like... nobody there was undergeared and no pull was made yet to tank the dps meter... The other day I got invited as healer to a run, and again, we´re in buffing up when I get kicked. The reason given was: you have dps gear. like... the hell you mean brother, we´re about to kick off a +12 and it´s not like I have agility staff equipped. But tbh weird stuff like this is somewhat rare I must say. It just stands out by how bizzare it is.

Did an 8 rise this week. I'm prot paladin, there was an English speaking mistweaver, and three dps that came together from Latam server: evoker, Mage, lock. It took the dps 4 tries on Tyr to actually kill the boss. We ended up finishing after 48 minutes. We 3 manned deios because of death and no combat res cooldowns left.

I personally like tank to be leader when I am healing because it automatically puts him as party1 target for my macros. Instead of clicking on the unit frame I have a targeting keybind for myself and party1, so when the tank is leader I can just use the keybind to heal him which allows me to move more easily. Personal thing ofc. Then, I do think that wow sorts the party automatically, so whoever is party1 will appear as the first party member. Easy way to know what the tank position is

If there's one thing you need to know when doing keys, it's that if you see a group of Ragnaros - you dip. They are notoriously bad, don't speak english, and are kings are bricking keys.

I'm pretty sure the last dk spec'd into tank so it looked like he was decent item level for the others. 800k hp is a normal amount for a dps to have at a respectable ilvl, I guess he hoped people didn't investigate further than looking at his hp.

I submitted the last clip, with the 2 tanks. The DK initially came in as DPS. I saw his HP, so I inspected and figured it was a carry. Didnt matter to me, its a 17 brh after all. He must have switched his spec during the countdown because he was DPS prior to the key being activated. NO ONE noticed .. No lust first pull. No DMG going out and the monk just calls it. Was the most awkward key i've ever been in.

This is why I feel it is mandatory to have invis pots on you at all times. That whole problem could have been solved so much easier if they just used that instead of running into them and dying over and over. After the 2nd time you would think someone would go "maybe we shouldn't try to fight them, what else could we do?". Considering how free the invis pots are, there is really no good reason not to have some. If you don't have it and end up in a situation like this, you are kinda trolling.

@@heythereguysitsMetro I basically only see it when I don't tank myself, cause when I do I make sure there is always a clear path cause people will die, release and more often than not they don't have invis pot. The most common situation is not a hard block like this though (unless part of a skip) , it's mostly tanks skipping around patrols or moving mobs. If someone then is unlucky with their timing while running back, they can end up waiting quite a while for them to move so they can pass.

To me this is just an excuse for being unable to parse the content on the screen, and for a while having the mark was a huge issue for my UI. I had to change the location of things on my UI to make sure the box wasn't constantly underneath or around it it, so I would certainly like to know that there is more to it than "marker allows you to show me where the mechanics are so I don't have to look myself." Its frustrating as a tank knowing that I have to work so hard to ensure a clean run on my part, and alongside me you have melee DPS who can't figure out which way mobs are facing without me showing them.

While I don't condone rage leaving keys, and that Resto druid in the 8:30 clip was definitely over reacting. As a healer, I 100% understand the rage when those volleys don't get interrupted. It's like the ONE important interrupt on that pack, and on a +21, those volleys are basically a near group wipe if they go off.

Europe is a big place. Are there tons of Spanish speakers in say Poland for example? I truly don't know. But I know for example in France the culture there does not love hearing languages like English so people are often only speaking French even if they know others.

@@heythereguysitsMetro Can't speak for Poland but in Austria/Germany you usually don't encounter spanish speakers at all. Sure, there might be some people who know spanish but I can't recall the last time I've heard anybody actually speaking spanish outside of any form of educational context. For the most part people just speak German here. Yet pretty much everybody still knows what Feliz Navidad means. In general I'd say that the average joe here knows quite a few 'common' phrases of other languages. Be it spanish, french, german, english, italian, etc.

Not sure why he was so pressed ab it, but I need to have the tank/dps/healer in the proper order in my party frames. So when the tank isn’t set, the tank can be in a different order and it fks w my muscle memory and I start making mistakes. I’ve never made an issue ab it w other people tho, I usually just assume my ui is being weird or something.

Apparently having such great skill as an overgeared warrior tank does not include the cognitive and social intelligence to understand that WoW is a multi-player game in which helping each other out to progress in skill, experience and gear and stuff, is why it became so massively popular when it was released for the first time. His 3k score sadly does not reflect that. Doing 20 keys are fun atm, they are not hard at all, lots of players who are new, lower ilvls or playing a new specs, providing for interesting challenges. That and getting easy crest or Vault slots. This ego-tripping thing of 3k score pug leavers for very poor reasons is annoying though.

Fairly hard disagree on the druid around the 8min mark. While he was over the top, it's definitely not his job to interrupt that AoE during a big pull. If it's a +10 then sure that's the place to teach, but a +21 nah that DPS needs to know which mechanics are dangerous and be on-top of it. It's clear that was going to be a learning run for that group, which is fine but again in a >20 you should already know the mechanics and expect people to leave if you demonstrate you don't know them and didn't give the group a heads-up it is a push/learning run.

I always put a mark on the tank, and tanks often like to mark the healer as well. If you get turned around (hey, it happens more the older you get!) it makes it easier to see where people are. Sometimes a tank will take the marker off their head, and I’m not gonna be a jerk and put it back.

At 7:30 I understand the healer's frustration. Likely confused as hell when there are four dps and you can literally see five or six volleys go through during the short clip. The group is obviously awful. I do condemn toxicity, but that group was not going to time anything.

The key at 7:55 - not the healer's fault. You can see 2 casts of volleys and many bolts going through. Hes doing 130 hps while typing. I very much understand why hes' tilted at +21 and very bad cc + kicks. The more I watch that vid, totally not the healer's fault. They just don't interrupt that AOE cast. Big nono. Resto druids and kick - you usually don't take it because it forces you to take plenty cat talents, while not taking for example cyclone for cc, or hibernate for affix. Also to kick you gotta be in cat form. So you don't heal that much. From that video - I would leave that key too. Clearly the group can't play basic mechanics at +21. Apart from tank marker - that is just annoying.

Well you are obviously missing a lot of what is happening here. First of all, we are showcasing his behavior and absurd overreactions, especially given how little time has passed. Has nothing to do with who's "fault" it is. He needs to behave better and be a better teammate. Speaking of being a better teammate, this mentality of "oh druid can't take a kick sorry" and then complaining about people not kicking is so stupid its wild, and I hear it CONSTANTLY. So you are basically just saying "resto druid sucks, the people who play it care only about HPS, and because of these things, you should never play with one in a pug." If the guy had an interrupt, or played a healer with better access to one, there would be no issues here at all. Past all that, its three minutes into the key. Get real dude. You have no idea what this TYRANNICAL key is going to look like at this point. And on top of this all, THEY DIDNT EVEN WIPE TO THIS. If you are the kind of player that gets tilted within 3 minutes of a key and spams all caps at your teammates instead of just using the actual utility your class offers, you should stop pugging. You are wasting your own time in doing so, and are making a laughing stock out of yourself along the way. No one wants to play with players like that, so just do everyone a favor and eliminate the issue at its root.

This concrete key the druid was absolutely within his right to expect that people running +21 key know the very basic mechanics of the first pull. These guys had nothing to do at such a high level key if they don't know the 2 most important kicks on that platform. Even running +18 of this particular key can be a nightmare for the healer specifically if they don't kick the AOE casts. And then you waste 40 minutes not timing - no rating, no crests. Chest + vault yes. But usually you run +21 and above for rating, not farm. When it comes to kicks. Druid's kick would not save them. Just watch the video, there are 2 mobs that cast the aoe at the same time, and why would you think its ok for those 4 players to not bother doing absolute minimum - cc + kick - and expect the healer to do that for them? When healing in this season is absolute nightmare? I don't understand why do you defend simple lack of knowledge and incompetence to kick the volleys. Even after he said that. And healer kicks - Disc priest can't have one for example. Yet its the best most played healer. I don't understand why you think that in this particular instance the healer should just stfu, kick (even if it makes healing and playing for him much more difficult), rather than have tank espetially prot pala, and 3 other players kick? Why is it on that 1 particular player? Please, look at the entirety of the "team"s play on that run. Why is that 1 player not a good teammate, when the other 4 are absolutely failing in basic mechanics? They don't have to be competent to be good teammates? Strange.

The druid certainly is very tilted by tank not being set as tank - not sure if its macros, but probably more that as a healer you are used to the tank being a the top/bottom of your frames so you can prio heal/shield them. But then the group failed on 4 of 6 casts (I could see) that are the most important think to kick on that pull. The druid left after the first pull. On a +21 RISE which is very very tight timer, that first pull can be done with 0 deaths and 0 volley casts on +22 no problems. If the group is not capable of that, then there is no point continuing. Sometimes the first pull can tell you everything about the capabilities of the group. Sometimes I don't want to carry a group. Sometimes I want to pug with competent people. Sometimes I'm ok with helping people. But usually on a +21 I'm there for the rating. And I expect people to pull their weight. If I'm running +11 I'm absolutely OK with giving tips to the group if they are willing to listen (not by shouting WTF FFS etc ofc). I agree he could've CC'd the mobs by roaring, I did not see it cast once. But thats up to you to analyze and look - I don't have the full clip.

There is a lot of grey area in pugging. This is not one of those situations. Whether the pack could have been done cleaner or not is irrelevant. The timer is no where near tight enough in a 21 to even be remotely concerned with this. Again, the mistakes do not matter AT ALL in why I made this video. As a general rule, I never invite high io people. They have CRAZY ego and short patience if 1 wipe happens. I’ve carried plenty of friends /randos at like 430-450 ilvl in 20s. I don’t know why people think it isn’t possible. But even lower io people can have warped thinking that 20s are hard.

@@senfglas214 druid side of the tree is really shit for resto. They have to pick between several talents. They have to pick between: Vortex and typhoon, innervate, extra health when they initially switch to bear form (they heavily rely on bear form to help them live), incap roar, 4% healing done and taken buff, dispel, they have to take hibernate on incorp weeks, then they have to take 3 points to get down to their interrupt so they have to sacrifice several of those other things. So they sacrifice healing and survivability and other cc for an interrupt when the rest of the group should be able to cover it and they can help interrupt most adds with roar and typhoon. They also have to switch to cat form to interrupt. Also metro I made a comment similar to this earlier did you remove it?

Basically all you guys are doing is confirming resto druid is a terrible pick. I try to give people the chance to prove it's worth taking but so few of them do anything other than spam heal, and then some of them even complain about stuff their class is failing to bring!? You guys better go beg blizzard to rework this tree or make the spec easier to play. Because as of right if it wasn't for Mark of the wild I wouldn't see a single benefit to bringing a resto druid over any other healing spec.
