Phil smashing DH lines on his enduro bike like it was nothing!
@scootkyle5 жыл бұрын
I was towed by Phil once at Thunder Mountain Bike Park and he is to say the least a DH racer with the grace of a dirt jumper, he could spot lines and gather pop from seemingly nowhere, he had the ability to float thru the trail on both dirt and in the air. I don't think he realizes how skilled he actually is.

Footage ON POINT! Check. Riding is RIDICULOUS. Check. Edit is SICK. Check. This should IMMEDIATELY be at the top on Pinkbike for the Whistler recap videos. That's as good of a view of the trails as I've EVER seen at Whistler. I could see every feature you rode, nothing was blown out, and you were plenty close enough for me to see the riders in front when you when trailing someone. I sound like the ultimate fan boy when I watch your videos, but man...they're the best out there IMO. I love how you just casually ran into some shredders named "Tanner and his brother," and they were throwing style right up there with the likes of Fairclough!! That knack-knack was the best hit on the entire video! The fact that you just jump in with those top Pros, and ride right alongside them, solidifies that watching your videos is like watching the top Pro's ride what you're riding. There is absolutely a place for what so many other KZbinrs are doing out there, and no slight intended toward them, but I just so happen to love watching your videos the best, because you do things on a bike that I could never do, which makes it captivating POV. The tree bonk? Really? Nope. That was insane at that speed and commitment. Not even sure how to quantify the risk and skill needed for that move, which was evidence by the dude behind you who was obviously extremely impressed as well. I could watch this video over and over...it's that good, and lately it has been Whistler after Whistler video to the point of near boredom. Did you save this for last as a courtesy so everyone else would watch the others' videos first? :-) As far as I'm concerned, you saved the best for last! NAILED IT!

That's honestly the nicest comment I've gotten in a long time. Thank you Will, I'd love to see more comments like this. The footage I have for the next video is even more exciting!

Americans: "Going to Whistler is my dream! But it is so far!" Europeans: "Oh, really?"
@SkillsWithPhil5 жыл бұрын
Considering its a ~45-50hr non stop drive from my house on the east coast of the US, flying is the the best way to get there. Just the airport travel time from Burlington Vermont to Vancouver with one stop ranges from 7hrs to 20hrs and costs $800-1100. If I used the town i used to live France (Blagnac) the travel time ranges anyway from 13hrs to 24hrs and costs $600-1100. So yes, that's certainly a little better for Americans, whistler isn't exactly close for a lot of Americans either. Obviously if you live in a city with a direct flight like Pittsburgh PA or Charlotte NC things will be a bit easier.
