This feels like such a perfect example of the weirdness of that era of BK toys. Like, they seemed to be simultaneously good and bad in so many ways: They were getting awesome IPs like McDonalds, but then often didn't really handle them as well (like here, completely ignoring Fred, Daphne, and Velma in lieu of just putting Shaggy and Scooby in a bunch of toys, as opposed to McDonalds who always tried to use as many different characters from an IP as they could, and tried to double up less, or spread out the doubles among different characters rather than tripling up on one). They were often coming up with more interesting ideas (like some of these show, the Pokemon ones really come to mind as well), but then often ended up not really sticking the landing with the implementation as well as McDonalds usually did with their, admittedly more samey toy ideas. Obviously, McDonalds was always going to reign supreme when it came to fast food toys in the end, but it was certainly a fun time when BK was actually competitive with them, rather than basically just being another afterthought in that market like all the other fast food places that only really have that option because they feel like they _have_ to in a market that includes the Happy Meal.

Wendy's also had some Scooby Doo toys.... I remember a kind of funny story with one of them. It was a little haunted house ball maze toy. And the ball and some elements glowed in the dark.... Well, I thought when I was a kid it would be a GREAT idea to put it on TOP OF A LIGHTBULB. (Yeah, the room I was in had a bunk bed, and a celing light.) .... Needless to say, that did NOT end well. It melted and had a huge hole in it. (That night, got another one, and learned that, lightbulbs melt plastic toys.... A truely valuable lesson for modern kids in the audience. =V)

that last shaggy toy was one of my fave toys when I was younger, I remember getting him from BK a lil before halloween and I would play w/ him all the time until the rope in one of his arms finally broke and he lost his arm also the knob on his back stopped working before that but I had managed to get him back together enough that he looked semi normal

Glow in the dark works great for Scooby-Doo toys, probably the best is for eyes and ghosts. I think the best ghost for me would be Captain Cutler, a spooky glow in the dark ghost diver would be awesome!
