On Today's Episode:
You know why you need to develop good habits and how important it is to have the right routines in place, but knowing HOW to execute and get them in place is a different obstacle many of us stumble over. Being able to optimize your morning and evening routines are the foundation of any successful journey.
The key is they’re both linked to your mindset and desire. Get your pen and paper ready to take notes as Tom exposes all the ways for you to not just optimize your routines and habits, but also optimize your cognition, master motivation, and develop the desire you need to pull you through the tougher days ahead. There is no magic formula to success.
It’s grit, hard work, and lots of sacrifice and self-discipline. You can’t procrastinate your way there, and you can’t only sort of want it. Catch the level of energy Tom puts into sharing these strategies and tips with you, then go and execute.
QUOTES:
“When you start the day, if you get early momentum going, the rest of the day is going to follow.”
“When you’re struggling to get something done, you have a desire problem.”
“Success is a game of problem solving, but you have to really want to solve that problem.”
“When you can change state at will simply by remembering the kind of people you’re trying to help, [...] when you get tired, when you’re procrastinating, when you feel lazy you can tap into that, the desire kicks in and now you’ve got the juice you need to push forward.”
“If you’re anti-work, if you’re looking ways to be lazy, you’re going to get your lunch f*king eaten.”
“Know what you want, Build the desire to get there. Put in rules that optimize your time and get rid of any and all excuses and weak moments.”

I was wondering how long it took you to master these habits and how many fails did you have before you feel this is who you became, this is now your routine no matter what? Also with the food, especially eggs do you ever use cheese or any spices, mayo mustard or is everything bland? Thank you for sharing all this info.

I just rewatched the eating part and I take it you don't use cheese or anything because you were emphasizing whole foods. :)

I rarely comment anything on the internet, but this video deserves a comment: This might be the most useful video I have ever watched. I had to stop several times during playback because I was overwhelmed with the feeling of having learned something profoundly important, insightful, useful, and - if I actually use the information - life changing. I am immensely grateful for this video

Evening: Create prioritised list of what I'm going to do Sleep long Morning: Exercise & Drink first Meditate second Eat: whole food - recognizable from nature + Heat + AVOID sugar. Keep fruit and vegetables destinct + measure and adapt + intermittent fasting. 17,5 hours no eating. + lots of green leafy whole food vegetables. Audit time, no alerts, reflect after tasks, face the wall (No distraction), care about what you do, HAVE RULES. Have personal higher standards for yourself. Stare at yourself naked (in every area - be proud to discover that you are not competent - and then change it) Earn your sleep - but sleep properly!

Interviews are great but Tom is wealthier and fitter and happier than most of them and takes the actual learning out of it. Thank you Tom you’re my fave mentor and you dont even know how youve changed my life yet again. Im sleeping better again and focused again and eating cleaner again. Thank you so much

Tom is such a brilliant and kind man. Nowadays, the combination of being highly brilliant and extremely kind is quite rare, but it can still be found. Literally everyone can learn from him. Portions of what he says certainly don't apply to every human being on the planet, but every human being will benefit from hearing what he has to say.

I know you guys don't have kids but I would really love if maybe you or Lisa could do this with a guest who has kids. Great tips, there's just a few areas that would be much more difficult when you have little ones in the house that don't really care about your schedule 😆

Oh wow okay! Am pretty sure there are a gazzillion advice on how to manage your family time! Are you forcing single and childless people to get for you speakers? Take your entitlement somewhere else! The world doesn’t revolve around your wants ladies 😂! Stop guilting children. Were you forced to have them? No! You wanted to have it all 😂. I hear so many of you bragging about multitasking and being supermoms 😂. Bye gals.

I have thought the same thing! Watched many videos of Toms, and left with the SAME sentiment! WHat ABOUT KIDS. Optimal sleep is impossible in 1st 4 years, give or take a year.....Morning routine can be derailed by kids waking up early. I tried doing yoga WITH my kids - they just crawled all over me - cute! But i couldn't get my work-out in. I'm in the "golden years" now - my youngest is 9 and they make their own breakfast now, but I remember those early years well! The 1st 3 years are just keeping your head above water

Very nice thoughts and advices. The only issue is that life is not a straight line and the guru view doesn't work so.much when really sh* happens , like an earthquake in turkey, war, when you experience terrible unjustice, lose People you love and so on.. I work in a lot of the valuable stuff you say but I am concious about the occidental context we live in and I don't face the problems a person slaved in Congo, working in a coltaneo mine, has to face struggling to find the material you have in your beautiful laptop screen. 😀 I would resume by saying that all this stuff work very well in a avarage state of life but we can't ignore that all these robotic /mantric routines disapear once a real storm comes.

I guess its a competition for attention thing online. Imagine listening to someone in real life giving that amount of information in that amount of time, you prbly would try to avoid them lol - all in all though- really good advice, i practice most of it myself.
