read something boring at bedtime, count backwards from 100, consume half teaspoon of organic pollen dissolved in lukewarm water 30 minutes before bedtime, consume a pinch or two valerian root powder mixed in lukewarm water or milk 30 minutes before bedtime, smelling of valerian root, sleep with head direction towards south, cooler room environment than body temperature according to blood group types, meditation, head massages with herbs oil, use cotton bedsheet between blanket and body, breathing techniques are some suggestions.

Worked 3 to 11/11 to 7 doubles in various hospital areas for B Agency companies around Houston Texas for about 15 years. Plus working for A Agency companies in home health. One should never eat anything in the last three hours before bedtime. It's common sense not to fill your stomach with food before bed, because your digestive system shuts down in the evening, leaving your stomach full of undigested food. This causes fatigue, but will not give you a good night's sleep. The chamomile brew before bed is not harmfull and indeed good for a better night's sleep.

It's just a program that you can un-program.......try fasting for one day every two weeks. Drinking a glass of tepid water before bedtime will help against the hungry feeling, and it will replenish your fluid reserves before loosing part of it during the night. Again.......eating before bedtime is really not good advice and ultimately not healthy.

I've developed bad insomnia again. I become very drowsy, try to sleep and then toss and turn so I get up. I take melatonin 10mg. now and then which sometimes helps. I usually end up falling asleep at about 3am. There have been times though, where I barely slept at all. I wake up early anywhere from 6am - 8:00am so I always feel tired. My grandmother had the same problem so I think there may be a genetic component to it. By the way, some people may be suffering from sleep apnea! I have it and was on a CPAP machine for 2.5 years and felt so much better. In the past 6 months though, I started to have major sleep issues again so I think there's something else going on. Why not go to a pulmonologist and get a sleep study done? One of the symptoms of Hypothyroidism is insomnia by the way. Hope you have eventually have pleasant dreams!

These items your saying and all are great. Rice, bananas and alot are loaded with carbohydrates and turn into sugar. Being a diabetic and all your saying to eat these. It doesn't help cause your bloodsugar Jack's up. Oatmeal has been recalled for many months and melatonin if you look it up and all is very bad for your body. Your saying to watch your sugar, well carbohydrates turns into sugar. Hate to say that. Yes processed foods, fatty foods, fried foods, chocolate and sugary drinks, and hotdogs if you look it up is a number #1 killer in America and loaded with so much salt. Look it up and see how they make them on a video. Half these drugs they made are no good for your body and are killers too. Especially gabapentin and alot of these and in other countries they are forbidden. I'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything but there are so many things they put on the market and don't care because they know people will buy it. It's quick and a easy meal. I noticed when i eat any type of turkey, i.e...sandwich meat, or just turkey slices...i sleep like i havent slept in years. Turkey contains trytriptofan allowing one to eat. They use to sell trytripofsn in stores but havent seen it.
