Some of them ate the typical American diet, some of them ate more plant foods and less meats. I could not find any correlation since one of my uncles eats pretty much plants and very little meat and he still has a full set of hair. What astonished me was the ones who were womanizers, I kid you not, were all balding/almost fully bald. The one's who had a monogamous relationship with their wives and had healthy sex every once in a while still had a full set of hair. A couple months of using minoxidil helped me to reverse my slightly receding hairline, which started in late 2019.
@nickeggleton24813 ай бұрын
Minoxidil is an interesting molecular compound. By increasing vaso dilation it allows more of whatever nutrients, oxygen etc follicles need and waste to clear out. It has a less serious side effect profile than finasteride. Just beware, once you start and it begins to work, you can't stop, because 'shedding' will occur, and shedding is bad as it is in between growth stages that hairs miniaturise.
@XTR023 ай бұрын
@ Definitely. And right, I intend to use minoxidil regularly for life. Once you start you can’t stop. I was able to grow a beard thanks to minoxidil. It definitely works.

I wish I knew why my body still has issues 😓 I feel great in comparison to if I don't eat animal based. But there is still something there which makes my eczema stay. Only when I take S. Boulardii along with some other probiotics do I feel a difference. I think Magnesium Citrate messed up my gut biome completely..... At the time I didn't know it was because of it that I had massive diarrhes etc...

S.boulardi is a yeast, not a bacteria… it’s better to take a bigger variety of lacto and bifido bacteria to ensure a more comprehensive probiotic action… hope this helps

25 and started getting slight recession when I was 19ish. Left hairline went back a bit. I was taking creatine at that time which I think may have contributed to it. My brother is 2 years older and doesn't lift weights or even eat healthy and doesn't have any change to his hairline. I think the combination of lifting, dieting, creatine may have sped mine up.

This reply is for you and the comments below. Creatine does not cause hair loss. High testosterone does not cause hair loss. DHT does not cause hair loss. The one 'creatine study' linked to 'hair loss' on rugby players was never repeated, and was under powered and the results statistically worthless. Testosterone and the (metabolite of it DHT) are responsible for hair, bone and muscle 'growth'. It is not logical to link them to 'loss' unless you have a drug to sell that reduces it. It is more likely that Vitamin D deficiency from sunlight avoidance is responsible. Because without adequate UV exposure you cannot make enough.
@shun22403 ай бұрын
@@nickeggleton2481 you know nothing about hair loss, the science is settled for hair loss, it’s the DHT sensitivity of follicles causes hair loss, DHT literally shrinks your follicles and cause you to go bald. That is why meds work, because you are reducing conversion of Test to DHT, so there are fewer DHT to bind with the sensitive follicles, so the follicles are not damaged and in most cases, can rejuvenate and become terminal hairs again I can speak from personal experience, I am suffering from Androgenic Alopecia and tried various bs treatments, only finasteride helped stabilized and regrow my hair

Telling people to get vitamin D from the sun is cruel. Most people can't make any D3 from the sun in winter. Everyone needs to take 5,000 to 10,000 D3 daily for the rest of their life, along with magnesium and K2.
@nickeggleton24813 ай бұрын
'Cruel'? Your vitamin D deficiency is caused by a mismatch of the amount of melanin your skin and where you live. Darker-skinned people living in equatorial latitudes can get plenty all year around. Lighter-skinned people living in northern latitudes can build a solar callous and store enough D through the summer to use through the winter. Taking a supplement is not equivalent to all the benefits of UV, and safe sun exposure. It's darker-skinned people in northern latitudes that need to work extra hard to get more sun exposure in the summer. The 'truth' is not cruel, and neither is mother nature. Sure taking 5,000 - 10,000 IU is better than not taking it if you can't build the stores.
@WarmWeatherGuy3 ай бұрын
@@nickeggleton2481 D3 has a half-life of around 24 hours. You must take it daily. Optimal blood levels of 25(OH)D3 are above 60 ng/ml (150 nmol/L). Nearly 100% of humans are less than optimal. The purpose of vitamin D is to signal the body to use less energy to increase the probability of surviving winter food shortages that humans no longer endure. The signal is LOW D. The only animals that get this signal are those living away from the equator and then only in the winter. One exception is humans. We get the LOW D signal 365 days per year our entire lives due to human migration out of the Sun over several millennia.

There has to be something wrong with the way we consume the food, or are consuming the wrong food or are tainting the food with chemicals. A human was meant to be a semi vegan. Vegans and carnivores took it too far. You guys don’t know about temperaments in people and food. You keep generalizing and encouraging us to eat more meat and less of everything else God created which is pure and tastes delicious with the meat. There is no way EVERY HUMAN was meant to eat mostly meat and only some fruits and honey. It depends on where you live and what is best for you individually. You also have to eat what you enjoy which helps with absorption. Some people are on a strictly meat diet but do not enjoy it. Do you think that is healthy? Meat only diet is a diet and humans were not meant to be on any type of diet.
