Prebuilts get so much unnecessary hate. I recommend prebuilts to people all the time, not everyone wants to build their own as they may not have the time or tools, especially to troubleshoot should something go wrong. Prebuilts can be a gateway to PC gaming, and can be a good foundation for someone to slowly start upgrading and maybe one day build one of their own from the ground up.

For those investing in a dual slot toaster, make sure that you insert 2 slices of bread for optimum efficiency when toasting. You're simply limiting the performance if you're only inserting once slice of bread at a time. If you really want to splash the cash and be future proof, you could invest in a 4 slot toaster but for most people, this is simply overkill. Also, ensure plenty of airflow around the toaster and never place it directly under a kitchen cupboard during operation. There are well documented heat distribution issues associated with this and it could prove costly in the long run.

I just spent 5 hours putting together a PC and doing cable management. It then did not post and I lacked the tools to verify which part was busted. At that point I realized after 5 pcs I am done building and returned the lot. People meme about it but some of us are just no longer hobbiest and just want to play games on PC . Glad some companies are starting to prebuild at a reasonable price.

I feel your pain. I’m new to PC gaming, so my friend who’s built several PC’s volunteered to put the parts together for me. He hadn’t built a PC in eight years though, and after nine hours total, he couldn’t get my PC to power on. I eventually forked over the equivalent of twenty bucks (I live in China) for a repairman who then got it up and running in an hour. Still, after seeing my friend get so frustrated and baffled, I had a lot of sympathy for the prebuild crowd.

After looking into this myself Amazon charge 20% just to be on there. That's why Pre-Builts on Amazon are often overpriced. You're paying an extra 20% just because it's on Amazon. This is why most big prebuilt companies sell direct. Seems like these were actually a good deal for the most part.

I bought a ibuypower pc about 11 years ago. I use it for about 7 years before I wanted to upgrade. I never had any issues with that pc so I would rate it 5 stars. It also was a custom pc from ibuypower so it had everything I wanted.

For the price, the 1st prebuilt was actually good. For the airflow though, it wasn't the best. However, it seems that it would be cheaper to buy this prebuilt, and a new case for cheaper then actually making it yourself as the gpu was around $900 which you changed to 450 for some reason. Also it would come with windows and would be cheaper overall with shipping costs. I get that prices of gpu's were cheaper 1 year ago, but not that cheap.

I wouldn't recommend pre built systems at all. go for a custom build coz you have the liberty of choosing your own desired component and custom colors. Plus most of them are built really badly. You don't get a pc but you get a furnace But some pre builds are decent, so your idea would be great!

So I would say a pre build/pre costom is ok, if you really need a pc now. And maybe switch some parts out. Because everything is affordable except the GPU.

if you're going to one of those custom pc building sites, I would always recommend choosing to have no os. it is so much cheaper to buy a cheap flash drive for a few bucks and manually installing windows. you can get a win10 pro key for like 15 bucks so theres no reason to pay extra for a key and an install.

I'm sorry. Most of us live in this thing called the real world. We don't live in million $+ houses, can afford the Tesla trash dumpster on wheels, are schooled on pc building, have access to a PC builder, or have five grand just laying around to blow on a PC. Us normal folk instead have to buy prebuilt models. I bought the Shiva 2. Not the particular one you decided to poo poo on for $1300. It's a great PC and I have had no issues at all. Perhaps in future reviews you should consider us little people who don't live in mansions. Sorry for the rant.

I have the Archangel... I knew it wasn't going to have the best parts and require some upgrades. I am also glad I didn't sit around for 8 months waiting for a GPU that was never going to come. So in the end I added some new fans, a new cpu cooler, better ram, a NVMe drive, new cabling, and a better power supply. You'll be happy to know that I was able to game and work during the 6-8 months I spent waiting for parts and prices to move. Sure the case is not my favorite, and the motherboard needs to go... but I learned a lot from upgrading this system over the months. I am so happy that I didn't stress myself out trying to build a PC during covid. I got the best I could afford from what was available at the time. Now I have the knowledge and skills to really build the PC I want, I will save some money on parts too.

I could buy all the parts for around 2k. Or buy a pre uilt with all the same parts for 2.1k with a 3 year warranty on all parts. I feel like some of these prebuilds might be a great jumping off point. Keep in mind this is me defending my purchase, as far as I could tell a 1500 PC with an i7 9700, 16GB of RAM and the 3060Ti was one of the only reasonable ways to get a 3060Ti at the moment. Pricing it out its a pretty reasonable spec list all things considered. I think the way to go in my scenario would probably be to get the PC, and then replace the most important components. From what I can tell from my build, the SSD is ass, 3000hz RAM is a little ridiculous, and that power supply may have to be replaced. Recabling a new PSU may be a bit of a bitch but these are very simple parts to replace and the meat of the computer is still there and functional. A less than optimal build does not mean a ruined computer! thats the beauty of computers, if your cooling isn't cutting it you can just buy new fans :)

My last 2 machines have come from Maingear. The experience is excellent from start to finish. Customer service is stellar, build quality is flawless, cable management is...beyond anything I could ever attempt myself.. I get my machines fully tested, one warranty point of contact, lifetime support and no charge labor for any repairs or upgrades. For me, it's worth the tradeoff from DIY.

I went to a website and picked out all of my parts and had the company build my custom system. Is that a pre-built? Cause in my mind pre-built means it is assembled and you don't get to pick the parts. So a common misconception is that there are only 2 options. 1. Buy and build it yourself or 2. Buy a pre-built. Option 3. pick out a totally custom system and have them build it so you don't have to.

I bought a skytech pre-built and I love it. I don't think all the options that they offer are great but if you took your time to compare each one of them you will find some pre builts that are amazing. My skytech had amazing cable management and is always cool even when playing demanding games like warzone at high. A pre-built is a nice way of getting a good gaming pc for someone that is a beginner or doesn't have the time to built one pc by himself. I recommend buying prebuilts if you take your time to search for a good option. I compared a lot of options to finally end up buying one from skytech and it works perfectly.

I'm struggling to see the issue here. An $85 dollar upcharge to save from building your own PC. This would make PC gaming particularly more available for those that don't like to build their own rigs. For what it's worth, I bought this exact Skytech Gaming build in the first part of the video and was very happy with its performance and no issues to speak of. That said, it really stinks that these days GPU's are essentially being farmed from these prebuilds then scalped at outrageous prices. Consider taking advantage of their relative pricing and buying a prebuilt. It's arguably one of the best ways to upgrade today and sell the shell the GPU came in. If you're just starting? Great base to work from, in general. Do your research for sure though. Seriously though, thinking an $85 upcharge to build a PC from scratch is outrageous? Boo.

Okay so while I am late for the first PC build I don't think you took some things into consideration. 1) YES, RTX 2070s are indeed going for $900 right now, I was shocked to see one selling for $500 on your eBAY listings. 2) Graphics cards and some other components cost a lot right now and may just be downright unavailable. Prebuilts are pretty much the only way to guarantee a card as of 3/16/2021. 3) The build is put together for you with no hassle, so that eliminates stress or testing... plus it comes with windows already set up for you. 4) RTX 2070 5) RTX 2070 6) If you don't get the point, RTX 2070! Seriously though, I'd snag that build if I could. 7) the complaints about the fans would be an easy and relatively cheap fix by just ordering intake fans and tweaking the build. That build (the first one) could reasonably sell for $1400 the way things are right now. Sad to say, but true.

I got a g436 powerspec with a rtx3070ti from this candy store I found called micro center. I looked up reviews and prices for each individual component and I'm super happy with what I saw (surprisingly, including the power supply). Good air flow and the liquid cooling radiator is top mounted. Cable management isn't bad either. As of now (3 months later) I have no complaints aside from the lightly higher than average price. Which I found worth the peice of mind that comes with micro center support and reputation.

However, these will have warranty anyway, plus unless we hear that it actually happened, it’s unfair. Unless the system is tested for overheating, we can’t just speculate. We need to see reports of that spec system with the exact case overheats. Not just guess. And calling a competitor a 💩 name is out of order. I just bought a really expensive Velztorm with ryzen 9 5900x with rtx4090. 128gb Ram etc etc. I work 14-16+ hour days as an exec running global cyber intelligence and criminal investigations for a tech giant. I just don't have the motivation to build anymore and not to sound horrible the price is de minimis for me and my time spent building this would be more than a few mouse clicks and grabbing off front doorstep. I am a bit nervous about it. My primary nerve wracking issue is they don't state a lot of the specs like what motherboard, or a ton of detail on the liquid cooling. IT does have a buttload of fans :) Anyhow, great video thanks for taking the time to put it together.

So I bought the same IBUYPOWERPC Element 9260 mentioned in this video. Was my first gaming PC, and didn't know any better. This was back in 2020, so at the time, for $1084 after tax shipped, it seemed like a good deal, and was a great 1080 gaming experience for me on Destiny 2 and Doom 2016. No issues ever. Then I learned about the crappy 500w power supply and realized I couldn't upgrade, so now its kinda crappy compared to what I can get. 2020, not bad. While I agree with most of what you said, pretty much all of it actually... Specifically about the first computer, I do kinda wonder about the intake fans specifically because if we have 3 exhausts then we will have a lot of negative air pressure which should result in fresh air getting sucked in through the front regardless of whether you have intake fans or not. Obviously this case/setup sucks for airflow and if you can its always going to be better to have intake fans but I don't think in this case that its the actual end of the world purely because you have 3 exhaust fans creating a lot of negative air pressure. I would be interested to see actual data based on real tests to see if it would actually thermal throttle or not. IMO this would run slightly hot but nothing worse than running an AMD CPU or a high end video card at its peak.

Yeah that’s why I’m now glad I bought and started with the Hyte y60 case. I can’t wait to complete it over time. And I’m having so much fun installing it. It’s not even too hard as long as you’re having fun taking your time on it.
