I really liked Boss Level except for one thing: the movie title. Something like 'The Osiris Spindle' would have (to me) sounded more intriguing. I only initially watched it because Frank Grillo was in it. But the whole thing turned out to be really good.

"I'm Your Man" is science fiction at it's best. Not a bunch of flashy special effects or action sequences but a presentation of challenging questions about what it means to be human. We go through living our lives based on assumptions that we often do not realize are controlling our experiences. The best science fiction makes you question those assumptions. POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!! If you will watch this movie you may not want to consider this question until after you have seen it: One important question which occurred to me after watching this movie. If I could have the "perfect partner," would I really want that person & would I be better for it?

I love that Space Sweepers got so much time; The Map of Tiny Perfect Things is exceptional and grossly underviewed; and, as someone who spent decades trying to erase Lynch's abomination from my brain, Villeneuve's Dune was 99% perfect. Free Guy was a delightful surprise.

"Lynch abomination" is too harsh and undeserved. And, I must admit, it was a long time ago when I was reading Dune, but the characters that were in my head were nothing like Villeneuve's casts, with the exception of Muad Dib. He found a real actor for that role.

@@Thyrwyn Herbert books are too big for one film, even the first one, Arakis is too big for one film. And the casting of Lynch, that is the matter of taste. I sure never imagined that buff from Game of Thrones in any role in Dune. Or black woman as the emperor's ecologist. But, I admit that Rebecca Fergusson was the right choice as Lady Jessica.

check out pacific rim 2, imo better than any of them. I didn't like that spidey movie because he should have learned after spidey 2 not to trust villains. Made no sense. Definitely had its moments tho and tbh I have liked every spidey movie so far

Snyders version cut of Justice League wasn't bad, it was decent. But as a director he's no Christopher Nolan or Matt Reeves. The upcoming The Batman movie will be miles better than any DC movie Snyder has made! Bet you it will rate much higher than Snyders Man Of Steel. By both critics and fans 👌

Favs? Depends. "Most fun" was Space Sweepers - b/c the expected tropes are so well done and funny. "Most Creatively Satisfying" was the Snyder Cut of JL b/c it bloody rocks and proves that MOST producers ought to leave their artists alone. "Most Emotionally Satisfying" was Matrix Resurrections b/c... well... they pulled it off without destroying the franchise. And "Most Eyepopping" was Dune - hands down an epic scifi classic that deserves a top spot on everyone's all-time favorite list.

Now I have wait 2 years just to see how it becomes "To be continued" a second time. Think I will wait to watch the 2nd just before the 3rd comes out in 2026, if I'm still alive.

I agree. My only criticism would be the soundtrack got a little bit overpowering at times and drowned out parts of the ambient noise and dialogue. Hopefully they will tone that down for the second art.

godzilla vs kong was just like pacific rim 2, minus most of the cool sht. It was so damn similar. Yet people hated on pacific rim 2 and call this one "a work of art" and all this other sht. I don't get it man PR2 was WAAAAY better, but I'm thankful for both. Both were pretty enjoyable to watch.

Dune is like John Carter of Mars was for the previous generations: never made as a movie when it's ideas were new, but it's the source of so many ideas copied and used in movies made later, that when a movie is finally made of the source material, people who know nothing of it (the majority) go.. hah? What was the big deal? Star Wars IS Dune, which IS John Carter of Mars, and so is Dances With Wolves, and Avatar: this becomes more obvious with every new Mandalorian, Boba Fett and future episode.

Finch was awful. The robot arc was not well defined and it seemed too "MarySue". The plot seemed to wander and set sights on the Golden Gate bridge for no particular reason whatsoever. There didn't seem to be a plan to end the film, so they just found a point and slapped the credits on. Even Tom Hanks couldn't save this.
