My favorite of all time is a hammer curl while sitting backwards on a lat pull-down machine, so your elbows are against the leg rollers. Learned it from John Meadows.

Hi bro, excellent video again. Just a suggestion: Maybe at the end of these type of videos with all excercises ranked, you can tell us only for the top tear exercices how many sets and reps peer week for hypertrophy you would recommend to hit. (like biceps has 2 heads, how many sets and reps per week to hit both heads is ideal) Same with triceps, 3 heads etc...But just a suggestion to rap it up. 😀😀😀

The arm blaster was designed to mimic the isolation you get from doing preacher curls and, when used with good form, can be a great substitute! 💪🏽

Hi Jonni, I just wanted to say that I've been following your channel for about two to three years now. The advice you give is priceless and yours is my favourite training channel. But more than that, you *always* come across as so thoroughly likeable and such a decent human being. Thanks for doing what you do.

There's 2 exercies that you didin't talk about Jonni. Cable arm suppination that basically takes arm suppination to failure (dumbbells got pretty bad resistance profile so they're meh) and cable shoulder abduction (but you keep your arm suppinated/neutral throughout the movement).

@Jonnishreve Question: Doing standing free weights (DB or Bar) with an Arm Blaster to keep your arms a bit in front of your body, then shoulders back/chest up. Does that make the exercises better and move up in your list?
@normalguy144

I absolutely love doing a supinated DB curl, but alternating arms each rep with holding the rep at the top for the arm not doing the motion. Keeping that constant tension the entire set. Is it affective?? I don't know, but I love how it feels 💁‍♂️

I might say that seated preacher curls have a high injury factor, and I challenge that notion on the range of motion. Most guys don’t have a great ROM for fear of bicep tear and raising butt off seat. That tension on the elbow or risk of over extension is high, be careful and don’t EGO lift guys

Any opinion on frequency and sets per week for biceps?
@Shredder-ug1fu
@Shredder-ug1fu Ай бұрын
Depends on intensity, but I would say, that you should train to failure in curls, so 6-8 should be enough, If your bicep is lagging, then add more sets. Remember, that you Can Train your arms at the beginning. Biceps on push day for example

I have no problem with The Boston Celtics calling themselves World Champions. As they are the best Non-Allstar or Olympic Team in the World. No organic team from China, Russia, Japan, Greece etc.. who plays in a Basketball League that awards a Champion at end of year is beating them. Thats why they call themselves World Champions. I have no issues with The Kansas City Chiefs or MLB Champion doing the same. Sorry Boris
