@raquel74135 жыл бұрын
@Liz P. I've never done intermittent fasting or the keto diet and I'm skinny so no I'm definitely not obese, I don't spend the entire day eating and don't starve to be able to maintain my body in shape I do a balanced diet and so does my entire family none of us as ever entered into those crazy diets and we are all skinny and with perfect health, you were talking about a documentary I will check it out but I don't like to base my opinion on something that I can find on KZbin or Netflix so if you have something better for me to watch it would be perfect, no need to worry about "cheap stuff" trying to keep it cheap sometimes can compromise the quality and none of us would want that
@raquel74135 жыл бұрын
@Liz P. Keto may work for people with problems like the ones you pointed but for healthy people, I don't see the need to do it take Queen Elizabeth II as an example she's 93 has a balanced diet and the other day despite the old age planted a three by herself never did the Keto diet same goes to her husband (98) and her mother (died at 101 years old) they always had a balanced diet and never faced any major diseases that had to do with the way they eat, it may work for some people and it's needed in some cases but I don't think it should be the default diet for everybody. Also just wanted to point out that the statement "you could see the craziness leave their eyes" towards autistic people is quite rude.
@raquel74135 жыл бұрын
@Liz P. I'm British and I'm very aware of what the Queen eats and British typical foods are definitely not keto (which the Queen and Prince Philip are said to love) most people don't eat keto and are healthy, my grandfather is 94 doesn't do keto and is healthy and strong like a rock

These recipes all look great (and I look forward to trying them). But if, like me, you’re particularly interest in low-carbs, the issue here is you’re really getting hammered by the bread slices. If this is an issue for you, another option is to turn the sandwich into a “wrap” with a biggish leaf of lettuce (or cabbage). Alternatively, use the filling as a topping for a salad.

Did you consider low calorie bread (1g fat, 13g carb, 3 g protein aboit 75 cals a slice), pea protein wraps, or corn tortillas as options? Unfortunate that people get wrapped up in being about low carb, and forget total calories in vs calories out is the actual solution.

Two slices of wholemeal bread is very healthy a day. Good fibre! And allowed on the slimming world diet plan. Ive so far lost 3 stone :)
@NichaelCramer2 жыл бұрын
@@amernahhas1095 : Actually it’s a bit more complicated than that (I.e. simply “counting net Calories”) You’re absolutely right, of course, that -as in all things on the Internet- there is often a lot of gibberish and “casual misinformation” about these things. But in my case I’ve been working with my doctor (and the nutritionist to whom she referred me), and it’s under their guidance that I’m trying to minimize carbs (in short, it can have a lot to do with the rate at which calories are burned and, more specifically, avoiding things like “plateau-ing” as your metabolism unavoidably changes). I certainly wouldn’t try to argue that this the right thing for everyone. In short, in all things like this, the critical point is finding what works for you personally; but, so far this has been going well for me.
@NichaelCramer2 жыл бұрын
@@TheMysterysingerx : Congratulations. But, as I noted above, I’m handling this while working with my doctor. And having (as of this date) lost a tad less 11 stone I trust you’ll understand if I decide to stick with the current plan. ;-)

do you have a recipe book out yet? maybe plan it out to be like a meal plan with all the nutrition facts etc. i struggle with having all the correct grocery items for the week and planning the meal to use up items so there is no waste.

Avocado tuna sandwich - 1 tbsp. Of red onion . (Proceeds to use white onion) side note: some of these recipes are great .. however the majority are for vegetarians, keto, etc. it all depends on your macro needs, ie. Caloric deficit so you most likely need to include something else along side of these as they most likely won’t be enough to sustain any workout regimens

I don't know if l'll ever make any of these sandwiches, but there's alot of interesting combinations. They're all better than pigging out on pizza and fast food burgers, fries etc every day.

Thanks a lot!!! I appreciate all not too difficult recipes, because I think in a couple of years I will be retired from work. My son will be married and I will be alone. So I am trying to learn how to cook. Sorry if my writting is not so good as usually was. Greetings from El Salvador, Central America. Blessing!!!
