Knowledgeable about his car and his mods, very passionate about all different types of cars, engaging in conversation and friendly. Dropping out of school but busting his ass for years at a family business and getting himself a nice ride for his hard work is exactly what we'd all do in that situation. I'd hang out with Lucas and his family any day rather than the lot of you people judging him.

I totally agree, and to be honest I'm from a similar situation myself so I'm not exactly "normal". But I've got my Jag XK8 which I've always wanted and I'm just generally trying to rock life and get on well with people. I think a lot of people are just bitter because of all the negative stimulus at work and on the internet. If you totally clear your head (and there are lots of ways to do that but hitting rock bottom and feeling lost is one of them), it becomes much easier to empathize with other people.

I'd love to own one, I just can't get over the exhaust note. Just doesn't do it for me. and honestly I can't afford one ha. Although I'v heard the competition package M3/M4 exhaust is much improved, but I haven't heard it in real life yet. And if I could afford it, I'd love to drive the competition pack m3 to see how it differs vs. the regular; apparently it's a huge upgrade in every aspect.

kezboy1 Might be an upgrade on a track, but on the road, meh. The competition package 20" wheels are going to cause a lot more interior noise on freeways due to the smaller sidewall. That's my biggest complaint with the car right now, is the freeway road noise. Also, I hate flush faced wheels. I like my wheels much better than the competition pack. I prefer deep concave, deep convex, or stepped lip floating spoke, but hate flush faced rims, like the 20's in the competition pack, and the stock wheels on the Mercedes C63. The C63 wheels... ALL OF THEM... are flush faced, and hideously chucking fugly. I'm not a huge sound queen. It sounds great inside the car, and no one I've given a ride in it has complained about the sound, including friends and co-workers. But most people are driving camrys and hondas, so yeah... they aren't going to expect a V8 GT350 soundtrack. In 2019 when I'm ready to move to the next car, I'll look over the landscape and see where everyone is at. Specifically... M3 C63S E63S GT-R CTS-V ... are all possibilities for my next car. I hate the fact that a GT-R is slower than a dog with 2 broken legs when not using launch control. It crawls to 60 in a slug like 4.5 seconds, which leaves it open to humiliation by a shitload of other cars on the street.

I'm with you on that, I personally don't like those GTS wheels either. I prefer the 5 spoke concave ones; concave wheels in general like yourself. I'm open to flush faced wheels, just depends on which car and if the wheels are nice. For instance, I liked the flush wheels on Astons DBS. But very interesting to know. I have a 335i, and I also find road noise to be a lot more present than in other cars. for instance my buddy has a mazda 6, The first thing I noticed when driving it was how much quieter it was. Although, the last subaru i owned was a lot nosier that my bimmer. You're right, most of those ppl probably don't care. But i personally love a car with a fantastic exhaust note to go along with the looks. Just goes hand in hand for me. AND that GT350 V8 is definitely up there with great sounding cars. Boy Ford nailed it with that car imo. That's fantastic you even have the opportunity to select from those cars! all of them are nice in general. I am very curious to see BMW's next iteration of the M3/M4 and 3 series. even the M5. Also i'd love to see Merc do a black series with the new C class AMG- I'v always wanted to drive a black series. However, I didn't quite agree with the styling of the SLS Black series. haha, yea it's unfortunate. The GT-R was a fantastic car for a number of years. I did hate however, that it got more and more expensive with every "series" as you will that they came out with for it, yet it seems the original is still thee best version of it imo. Hopefully they are developing a new GT-R, i haven't been following any news about it, but would love to see a next gen. Curious, You wouldn't consider the GT350? I see you didn't list it.

So the GT-R made it on my list as a 2+2 car. The reason I don't particularly like Ford Mustangs or Chevy Camaros is because both manufuckerers took the stupid approach of reusing an identical looking body (99%) for all engines. This did 2 things. (1) it deprived the V8 buyers of a unique look they deserve, and (2) it watered down the car on the road, because there are a shitload of identical looking V6's which now makes the Mustang and Camaro a dime a dozen on the street. Yes, the GT-R price increases are absurd. Went from $70k to $112k base model pricing. Just re-dick-u-less. I'd love to have as much tech as available in the next car. Most cars right now are rated by the highway traffic safety administration as having very poor headlights. They don't shine bright enough, nor far enough, to light up the road as far as it needs to be. Recent BMWs scored poor on headlights. I'd also love to have fully auto cruise control, or at least full stop emergency braking. I'd rather never have a case where I rear end someone because I'm looking over my shoulder for a lane change. Still don't trust the shitty lane change assist crap on car mirrors. Had it on last two cars and just doesn't cut it. Most of the tire noise is due to the width of the tires on the M3/M4 I believe. I have 19's, but the 20's would be worse due to less sidewall, thereby transferring more vibration to the chassis

I'm 19 and own a 435i. I work around 55 hours a week and I financed the car. Yes i agree i work alot and work hard in my 2 jobs. Since im 19, i still live with my parents so I dont pay for a home. Its possible to own expensive cars at a young age. Yes i know it will be alot harder to own cars like these when you are living on your own but thats why i chose to buy it at this age and live my dreams now, because i might not get the chance later.

Additionally I have a hard time believing the he dropped out of school at 16 and his family was totally cool with him working at the vineyard. Generally if you own a vineyard you tend to be pretty wealthy and highly educated, most people that are wealthy and educated want their kids and other family members to also be very educated. If anything the uncle would have insisted he stay in school, and go to university also and even offer to pay for his university and even grad school if he wanted to go. jb4 + downpipe + intake on the aggressive map setting makes around 450-470 crank 415 whp and around 450 lbs/tq. These cars are really underrated. With similar mods on map 7 I run 3.6-3.7 second 0-60's all day and the low end is the weak point of the car. There's a reason why these n55's consecutively won engine of the year, especially the newer n55 (post 2015) with the upgraded 4" exhaust instead of the older, more constricted 3". Beast of a car with insane potential.

So what drew me to this video was that I really liked the car in the thumbnail. I click on the video, and a few seconds in I'm like "oh god...BMW owners...". Then I watched the rest of the video and realized that this guy is pretty chill. I scrolled down to glance through the comments, past the hundred "why u hatin?" comments to finally find the hate comments everyone is referring to. I was surprised to see that a lot of the hate Lucas was getting is the exact same thing I get when when I drive my '16 C7. I'm a young guy as well in a car most Americans can't afford. And that brings a lot of hate. Pretty much everything written here I've heard on the streets. Even from other drivers in expensive cars like Mercedes Benz. The thing is, when you see someone with nicer things than you, and you get a bit insecure about it, understand that sometimes those people had to make some sacrifices (sacrifices most are willing to make) to get the things they have. The old and lame conclusion of "daddy's money" or "inheritance" or enter any other "easy money" here is quite simply overplayed. Most people jump to these conclusions because it's easier for them to rationalize that then to think about how hard a person might have had to work to get to where they are at. If you want to be happier in life, then trust me: stop being lame, get over yourself, stop hating, set aggressive goals, work hard towards them, be patient, and then enjoy the fruits of your labor. Did I mention stop hating?

As a side note, that's what I hate about later model bmw's...everyone assumes driving one equates to being well off. So many douchebags buy them to give off that image. Hence the huge douche to bmw driver ratio. This kid, however, is not one of them. Sad thing is, If he'd gotten a 428i and modded it everyone would be talking shit about how he modded a 428 and that he should've just got a 435. U haters will hate regardless...its not this kid or his car, it's you.

I'm confused if the in cabin filming in the beginning is in sync with the take off scene filmed from the street right before it. It always sounds like he really hammers it when starting off, but when the view changes to in cabin it doesn't seem to start at the same time as that first initial acceleration, which I would think would always give Matt a big smile on his face.
