okay, yes they addressed it, but it still feels kinda weird that, at the end of the day, this renovation benefits a white family that is profiting off the land? I get that they need to make content and maybe it's not a project to turn down, but.. they could do a little more? Even if it's not a direct monetary support for an organization for the indigenous folks of that area, it could be a more in-depth intro to history and culture. Like, I'm not super familiar with Canadian history, but I'm going to assume it's a similar situation to America, of colonialism and displacement of indigenous communities. If that's the case, I think we need to acknowledge more than just the heritage of the land. We should also speak about the not so glamorous side of it? It felt a little beating around the bush. I know they tried, but fell a bit short. I think it would be great if they can also bring awareness to these issues too with their platform.

After the mid century modern left I feel the 70s came back. This reminds me like an updated 70s style/color palette.

I would really love to see how you shopped for this makeover. That coffee table, that side table all of them were gorgeous, would love to know how u sourced them.

I'm literally 4 minutes in but just want to say I love, love, LOVE the changes to the format already! It already feels more "SorryGirls"-ish with being authentic with the planning stage, the fact that you say you've already scoped it out etc AND it was great to hear from the owners - I don't think they got any more airtime in the intro than last season but it was just so much more effective! So well done for working with all the feedback you got first time round, thank you for keeping on going despite all the criticism and I can't wait to watch the next 31 minutes!!!

You always nail your makeovers even when they aren’t your typical design vibes! But the editing on this specific episode was so cozy and felt very intimate. It felt really immersive into this project that it felt like we were there along for the ride!

This was one of my FAVORITE makeovers, I love eclectic style so happy to see something that isn't minimal Scandinavian style!!!

I love the mix of old and new. It refreshes the whole place without needing to start from scratch and shows them how they could do it themselves and not spend a fortune

I love the editing in this one. Like when opening the paint, and searching for the teal color. So chill, almost “comforting” strangely.

I loved all of this, but the absolute best part was just how much the clients absolutely loved the space. It was just so clear how happy they were! Also, god I want to go kayaking.

Omg when i say the whole crew it made me happy it's nice to see all of them working together because sometimes we don't get to see them all. 💯😁

I can’t believe how far you and your channel have come! I remember first watching you when you two shared that apartment together, when you did everything on your own, and now you have a big crew to support you, and help you make things bigger and better than ever! I love everything you guys do, great job as always!

I love maximalism and I think you guys did a great job as die hard minimalists! I do think there could definitely be more stuff in there but that’s what makes me a maximalist lol
@cooldudeyo063 жыл бұрын
So you're a hoarder?
@juliagabriele47063 жыл бұрын
I was thinking this too lol. The display/styling areas they do have are fantastic but there could be more of them! (Also I think they should have gone for another side table or a third, bigger armchair in the living area)
@CheerUp23 жыл бұрын
@@cooldudeyo06 Nah. I prefer maximalism over minimalism but usually when we say "it needs more stuff" is usually art or fun pictures hanging on the wall. You can be a maximalist with very few furniture items but the walls is what bring intrigue and fun. Again you can find lots of cool vintage items and artwork to hang on the wall. I just think there are too many cools things out in the world to NOT cover your wall and shelves with. A super minimalist places can be boring, typical, basic and devoid of life but when you add character and charm it really makes the space feel special and unique and just full of personality. To get a better idea how you can have more stuff but not be chaotic and a hoarder: www.pinterest.com/astronomyflames/home-life/

@@cooldudeyo06 haha no, definitely not. I agree with everything @CheerUp2 said; its about adding more personality to the space by putting unique accents esp. on the walls, usually with a quite large and full gallery wall that consists of different mediums of artwork and pieces. As I said earlier I think the sorry girls did a good job but I think they could've added more unique accents to the gallery wall. I also think it would have been great to have some faux plants and possibly another table.

Yes too simple to be Maximalism.

Ok I love this episode for so many reasons... 1. The final outcome! Love the maximalism and embracing going outside your comfort zone 2. The outfits! Becky that jumpsuit and rainbow belt. But I will never understand how you don't get paint all over them. 3. The dumb jokes and laughing at yourselves. 4. The ~cinematography~ was gorgeous.

THIS WAS SO MUCH MORE THAN I EXPECTED 😍🤯 I love Sorry Girls makeovers, but this one was SO unqiue!!! I now want yellow/green/orange walls which I'd never have imagined looking so good. The reactions at the end were so wholesome. The filming and editing was so professional. Thank you for such a fun, informative, warm, high quality show!!!!
