Great video! These decks look like a lot of fun and a really solid pod. One note about ninjutsu: returning the unblocked creature to hand is part of the activation cost. It can't be targeted in response to activation as a creature on the field because it's in hand.

Mimeoplasm simply happens. They can respond to the cast. If they don't, it resolves as a clone would - simply enters as one with the counters from the other.

Judge! At 18:46 Alex can't respond to the ninjutsu and kill Gingerbrute. He can respond to the ninjutsu, but at that point the Gingerbrute is in Lua's hand. Part of the cost to activate ninjutsu is to reveal the ninja from your hand and return an unblocked attacker back to it's owner's hand, (702.49a). As stated in the video if Alex had anticipated that's what Lua was going to do he needed to do this before blockers were declared. Because he only acted after Lua had began to announce the ability, to me it's clear he missed his opportunity

The stumbling of Tori was rough ofcourse, but this game also shows that a Commander deck that relies so heavily on the Commander (like kaalia) is not as strong as it used to be compared to a deck that just works regardless of its commander or in which Killing its Commander doesn't matter. Liked your guys' game and attitude towards eachother! Thanks for the video 🙂

Fun fact about Ankle Shanker, even though she doesn't look like it, she is a female, she later becomes "Vial Smasher the fierce" in the story. her name is "Yasimin Ankleshank" hence the name "Ankle shanker" :) Yuriko is a 7, just right out of the box. you have to actively try not to build her correctly to make it lower than 7. If you have no high cmc spells in there, I guess it's lower than that, but surely you won't build it like that.

On t6 the kaalia player should have used wayfarer to get a land first then played it to cast kaalia rather than just casting kaalia only since she lost a free land drop that way... rip. So many misplays this game in general though

If your deck has a higher cmc and you just use ad naus as a card draw spell, then yes of course it can be casual. No card on its own is "casual".

One of the reasons we don't use music during our gameplay is for people who need the automatic closed captions. Having music overlays can make it difficult for the captions to come out clearly, as well as for people who need clear audio. We do appreciate these comments though! :) But we don't plan to change this in the future.
