Oh no, you aren't alone! She was very popular back in the 1930s and 40s. She had a lead role in a trucking movie in 1941 0r 42. She was a huge fan of the movies. It is a shame she's not more well known. I like her film 'Nobody's baby' (1937) the most.

My grandmother on my mother's side turned 40 years old in 1933. Thelma and Patsy are the female versions of Laurel and Hardy.
