True story: I was illegally evicted; put everything in storage; built a campsite; CalTrans demolished it, took what they wanted & tossed the rest while I was at work. I came "home" to NOTHING. While walking to keep warm, I came upon a situation like that: donation boxes. Thankfully, a lot of people are too lazy to put donations in the bins and it was move out time at a local university. I was able to stealth camp behind there for most of the night, until a guy came to raid the bins. However, I was truly blessed, because I walked up there with just my walker and leftovers from work. I was able to survive and eventually get off the streets.

Hey Steve, I also lost my wife unexpectedly due to a heart attack this year. I’m in my 30’s and have 3 small children. I feel your pain in a real way and I’m happy that you’ve found some sort of peace. I hope to find my peace soon as well but know that it may take some time. Blessings on you and your journey. May you thrive in life and accomplish your purpose. Mine is to raise my kids to become healthy adults and God willing find a wife to help me do so. Peace brother.

Just like Steve you will be okay, you’ll find your peace and so will your kids. Don’t rush to find a new wife so soon, she will just be filling a hole in your heart. Find peace in yourself first my brother

Steve i know you don’t know me nor have a single clue of my existence on a personal level, but myself and others definitely know of yours. You are the reason why some of us even use youtube. You are the reason why some of us started camping and exploring the outdoors more. Personally, you are the cause of my smile from week to week or month to month, despite how long it takes for your next upload. I look up to you in many ways. I just wanted to say that we are all so proud of you. And that you are Loved beyond comprehension. We are all here for you Steve.

Losing the two most important women in your life unexpectedly and in a short time and you still keep your remarkably positive attitude. A great example for all of us.

It's always hard losing a family member, especially a parent, but it's good that she died having lived the life she wanted and that she passed without pain. I respect the heck out you for staying so positive despite the horrible losses you've recently experienced. It inspires me and so many others I'm sure. Keep doing what you do, Steve!

"When life attacks you, you gotta take life on" I lost my dad in July, and my mom a few years back. Damn man, it's been the worst few weeks here recently and I really needed to hear that. Your positive framework inspires me to keep going, and I hope you know that just being you really helps people. Thanks Steve - LARDOON.

The stealth cam idea takes this whole thing to the next level! I'd love to see you use it in more videos, hiding it next to paths and places with people so you can see what's happening! You're an inspiration in life Steve, my condolences for your recent events... It takes a strong man to get back up and say" Life, I'm coming for you!" Stealth camping is so enjoyable because of that thrill of doing something against the rules, but it's not causing harm and the stakes are never too high to gamble with. It's like a wholesome version of breaking the law haha

04:54 The delightful look of caution on Steve's face as he tries to quietly crack open a "Step Two". Even in drinking a beer, Steve is polite to his neighbors. Dude is like Canadian with extra Canada sauce. Love ya, Steve.

As a long-loving (not suffering!) subscriber, I have to say that you continue to be a Godsend of an inspiration, Steve. Remember to do what you need to do, for you, however that may look. Whether that's a load of stealth camping or a load of time off away from youtube and just hanging with CN and Garbage...and anything in between. You know by now that us real fans will always be here. Rest in Peace, Mama Wallis. You raised a great man.

Lost my mother (2006) father(2018), and oldest brother(2015) while in palatative care. Between losing your wife and your mother, I understand the pain of losing the latter, but I'm lucky enough to have the woman I've been with for 35 years still with me. God be with you, brother! Keep on keeping on!
