I absolutely love your vlogs! Just a quick tip for avoiding blisters: if you've run out of long enough socks, put a bit of sports tape on the area where you think you'll get a blister before a run, or during a run when you can feel a blister starting to form. The tape will take away the friction and prevent blisters from forming. I use this a lot on my hands for rowing and it works miracles!

I always wear longer socks when running etc. it may look crappy but when I get a blister I’m less motivated and excited to run and experience this annoying pain again. It is sooo hard to find perfect shoes. Hope this ones will work out for you once you break into them 😌
@MsNester147 жыл бұрын
If you are struggling with narrow toe boxes, I recommend Altra running shoes but those are zero drop. If you aren't use to a certain drop, do shorter runs to break them in and get use to it. With all new shoes, it's a good idea to do a few shorter runs to break them in and let your body get use to them. I also recommend sizing up at least a half size because your feet swell when you run. Good work on running your longest run, Jaime!

If you go to a running specific store, like Forward Motion or Fleet Feet, etc., they watch you walk and run in the shoes so you can find the perfect fit. I did this for cross country season and it did wonders for my runs. Highly recommend the Nike Lunar epic Flyknits :)

Hey Jamie! Since you ran in Kayano 24s, that means you overpronate; those shoes are made narrow for that reason. Asics does have wide shoes available, so I recommend trying a wider shoe, Gel-Cumulus/GT-2000 (one step down from kayanos and less narrow), or even giving the Brooks running shoes a try! 🤗

Hey Jamie, love the videos. Especially ones about medicine anything or fitness :-) . Where do you keep your car? Does your apartment building have parking, or do you keep it in a special car park. I've only been to New York once (I live in Australia) and don't recall seeing parking lots. Here most apartment buildings have underground parking beneath the building.

Where do you go to medical school I live in NYC ? I'm going shopping today. I love running there is alot of running grops in New York. Did you remember Jim Fix, years ago the president of the NY Road Runners club. He died, theY said of an anatomical defect in his heart. I think that's bull shit. How does a runner at his age die from a anatomical defect he was born with? I study medicine and know a little on cardiology it seems really strange that he had no warring signs? In addition that man was in great health from running.
