I'm a new fan of The Strokes, I saw the hype around this album when it was released and I'm so glad I gave this album a try, it's one of the best albums I've heard and I just enjoy it more and more every time I listen to it. This is also my most favorite track out of the entire album, it's pure utopia when I listen to it envisioning myself in a Twin Peaks-like town's beach (or getting stranded in a self-sufficient island), the place is empty and I don't hear anything except the waves and this song playing on my old mp3 player.

This is hands down one of the best Strokes tracks ever. Love the modern rap influence on the second verse, no lie!! Julians voice works with so many different styles and techniques it's crazy! Idol vocalist, even more so than The Weeknd. For real dude!!

I've always felt that At the door is a gate in which after you pass it, you transition from the more commercial-like cheesy strokes lyrics (the first half) to the deep true form of expressions and feelings that Jules and the band wants to transmit with their songs, and I love it.
