I am 56 years old now born August 3, 1963, but I remember the gospel music of Elvis Presley from crying in the chapel to many many others. What a beautiful voice and an amazing talent that God gave that man. Over the years I would come to find out and learn that however popular in the secular, or main stream music business he was the only music accolades, and awards that Elvis Presley received were only for his gospel and sacred music efforts. That tells me that the stamp of God was upon his life to sing the gospel, and not to entertain the world but to use his voice, and his talent to win lives and souls for the kingdom of God. I learned to appreciate Elvis after his death, when I listened to his spiritual songs! This man had so many problems, and struggled with harassing demons until his death, but I believe his love for God was real, and I believe God will give mercy to those he chose to give mercy, and I have every hope that God was erciful to Elvis depitenhis many failing! He to me is like King David, the man after God’s own heart! A king with many sins, yet his heart remained humble, as he grieved for his sins! How many times does God forgive? Endless times, according to God! God sees our hearts! Many who say “ Lord, Lord, God rejected, because He saw and knew their hearts, but the most miserable sinners of all, he sees their grief and their Love, and to them he grants mercy!
