I agree the telluride look very nice and well design on interior and exterior but engine is another story. We never know until time past even though kid can make a good engine that last if they want too.

I had a 2016 Nissan Altima i never had any problem with. I am currently the owner of the Nissan Rogue and so far I haven't had any problems at all.

Lucky. I had a 2006 Altima. I had transmission problem and sold that shit. Now I have a 2013 sonata and guess what. At 111k mileage. The engine died on me at the worst possible way. Luckily huyndai acknowledged that and gave me a new engine free because buying a new car now would cost to much

I have a 2018 murano platinum over 120000 miles no problems . Cvt works perfect . Love it. My buddy with a jeep is constantly at the dealership. I don't race my murano ,maybe that's why the cvt is still solid . Never been over 80mph .

Need at least three years of a new model being out in the real world before any reliability can be determined. Especially when companies hide the record of the cars faults for as long as possible and while always trying not to have to do a recall or fix the problems.

This is so distorted. According to July, 2021 Consumer Reports magazine, Subaru Forester scores a 89 rating in the 25 to 35K SUV price range and the Subaru Outback scores an 86 rating in the 35 to 45K SUV price class. Both are at the top of their respective classes. Those ratings include reliability, road tests and owner satisfaction.

You forgot the most reliable which is the 4runner. Practically trouble free and hard to look for anything seriously wrong. 2014 here and I jump bumps all day at high speed in desert dirt. You’re gonna have to dig hard to find what would be mechanically wrong other than rust which cant be prevented on any vehicle unless prevented by coating it at your dealership

Depends upon what components are used in the new model, their assessed reliability of similar models in the past, etc. CR is fairly accurate (not perfect, mind you) in their projected reliability assessments.

He’s right with the top two- Dealerships can’t keep KIA Tellurides on the lot. They’re mostly ordered from the factory because they’re selling so fast and they don’t have enough in stock to sell. Yes even Toyota’s are not selling like the Telluride.

@@erict7867 You get the best value for your money with them. Nowadays, many legendary brands have the same tech as other newer brands so pretty much averaging about the same time with reliability. Computer/electrical components are changing by the year so what used to be a great bare bones A to B car like a Toyota/Honda has had to adapt to the times and adding all these features means being susceptible to premature failure as well. Those two brands used to get away with being overpriced due to reliability but that’s not a selling point anymore as others have caught up. Of you look at recalls, Honda and Toyota are not doing any better than others on their engines and transmissions like they used to a decade ago.

Ford edge? Not possible. Ours had to many issues (squeaks, rattles, deforming rear bumper in the sun, power steering noise and hesitation after 1 year old, unresolved highway vibrations). The MKX that we had after that had power steering issues that the dealer could not resolve.

the merano has a few faults one being the hood sun glare problem is a BIG one those CVTs are very weak and power delivory is lazy at best though for a 3.5Lv6 in an SUV/crossover it beats some economey cars in gas milage its crazy how good it is on gas for the size its very comfortable but not all that nice looks wise headlights are decent low beam high beam is useless all its good for is glaring other drivers but its a roomy, comfortable 5 seater with luggage space so its a good road trip vehicle
