I have the Siren Mini, and i'll say if you have it on your desk and not on an arm, then the built in shock mount makes a big difference compared to the HyperX.

I actually use the siren mini with my PS5! Since the controller has a mute button on it, the lack of a mute on the mic itself is no big deal. I will say though it does pick up a few background noises sometimes but overall it's much better than built in mics

I tried the ModMic and V-Moda BoomPro and the sound from the V-Moda is clearer without being tinny and sounds better overall than the ModMic. It can be a bit fiddly but nothing too bad. The ModMic seems to be overrated when it comes to headset mics but it is better than most mics that ship with headsets nowadays.

You should put the mics on a boom arm to test them properly. You should also adjust the gain so they were all similar in volume. Your testing methods make judging the sound quality very difficult.
@TheTechne3 жыл бұрын
A boom arm isn’t included. That would be altering the product. We are reviewing mics here not mic mods
@andrews.92863 жыл бұрын
@@TheTechne Your are contradicting yourself, you put the Snowball on a mic stand and used an amp for the mod mic. So you altered those products. Other mic reviewers boom the mics and adjust the volume so the viewer can tell the difference in sound quality. Also most streamers and KZbinrs boom the mic, so it would be better to test the mic the way it would be used by content creators. I am trying to give you constructive criticism.
