Seems like a nice place to be with lots of creature comforts, but pretty seriously let down by that 1.5L powertrain. The base blazer's 2.0L would really make a big difference for the RS, especially for $38k.

Gm stopped using the 2.0 for the Equinox because the sales numbers weren't there enough for it to continue. People mostly preferred gas mileage over a more powerful engine.

I wouldn't mind, when I'm driving my family around I don't need to pull a lot of g-forces. What I do mind is that its 170hp and such low combined fuel economy. The Rogue has more horsepower, more torque, is the same size, and rated 37mpg.

@@BoopSnootyeah the fuel efficiency doesn’t make sense to me at all. My edge is 41XX lbs and has the base 2.0L Turbo 4 making 250HP and 275Ft Lbs and I avg 27MPG and that’s with the shitty 8F35 that never picks the correct gear.

@@anthonyrizzo255 I think these tiny 1.5L engines exist solely to skirt under displacement requirements outside of North America. Unfortunately, they're so high stressed that they just generally suck. GM could probably pull the old 3.9 high-value pushrod V6 out of retirement and paired with the 8 speed in this vehicle, it would probably get the same real world fuel economy while also being faster and more reliable.

@@OnTheRocks71 I've heard the 1.5 has been surprising reliable and mostly trouble free. But it is only in this equinox because chevy just has it lying around. Surprised they don't throw the 2.0 turbo in this or at least have it as an option

GM has followed all of the horrible trends. Huge piano black one piece screens with cheap quality no button interior, tiny engines, all crossovers, huge wheels, off-road tires. All vehicles are the same now.

I have the LT trim and I can tell you with all the reviews prior to this model hitting the dealerships. It DOES indeed have physical buttons. The hvac is on screen for certain trims but GM did also leave physical ones. They relocated certain other buttons to the left of the steering wheel. The 25 Equinox has two screens. And just an fyi, you don't like it, then don't get one.

They used to offer a 2.0T with 265 hp. It’s ridiculous that they got rid of it. And even the Cadillacs that have the 2.0T only make 235 hp now. But the vehicles keep getting heavier.

I was able to get the LT trim(without the 360 camera package)of this all new Equinox up here in Canada and it came with Michelins. I am enjoying it and takes a little time to get used to the size as it's just a little wider as you can tell with the hood. Has a more truck like look to itself on the outside. Overall I am enjoying mine and how it rides and handles the road. Just in general it feels more solid. I had the 2022 and it had 170hp but this one has 175hp with the same torque.

Great video as always . As a new owner of this new 2025 I feel I need to give a owners view. Many perks of this new equinox , great upgraded style and design. Super smooth drive and comfortable seating. compared to our 2020 equinox Premier Few downfalls in the Equinox that I am super disappointed in ( General Motors is unreal with cost cuts and it shows huge in this vehicle ) here are just a few of the first week owning . *Infotainment and instrument cluster glitches, lags, ( start up sequence sometimes works mostly it does not. The Chevrolet symbol is suppose to slide from the instrument cluster to the infotainment screen when you start the vehicle) . *Sound system is so bad deleting the BOSE was a huge mistake 6 speakers are the worst I have ever heard this day in age. sounds like 1990 overseas phone call. SOOO BAD . *Noise level of the fan . When fan is on auto the noise is ridiculously loud . like SUPER LOUD . Better than the last model but still very loud *Recline Deleted in the back seat , why would the delete this anyone on a long travel needs movement and positioning. Horrible cut back. *Dump handles release deleted in the back hatch area. anyone who has moved anything knows how helpful theses were so you did not have to go around and lower the seats from the back seat. *Rear passive entry Deletion , Rear door buttons to get in the door huge help for parents loading kids in . I would say as a New owner We give it a 2 out of 5 stars . Unfortunately BUYERS BEWARE

So, here in goes the question. With the rating you gave, why did you buy it then? I have the LT trim and I am enjoying it. I go into the radio setting and change the bass and treble levels and it's just fine. As for the Chevy thing sliding from the driver to the infotainment screen. I think that's just the EV version that does that. As for the glitches you state, not having issues with mine.

@@toner37 I do appreciate the message , Test driving a car for 30 miunutes a few times honestly does not do it . Its our bad for missing how bad the audio actually is in the few times we test drove the Equinox. We just want buyers to beware. there have been many little things that we noticed in our first few weeks owning it now, that are a disappointment. The last model ( Premier ) which we were told the RS took its place. The cutbacks from GM are laughable to say the least. poor quality of parts , fit finish. Yes I contacted the dealership and the "welcome sequence" is suppose to work on the I.C.E version also its a glitch and will be looked at when it goes for its first service. The car is beautiful , But the GM cost cutting cutbacks is so typical and thats why we want people to know BUYERS BEWARE.... I cant even imagine what they have cut that you cant see. Real owner experience
@toner37
@toner37 21 күн бұрын
@@dwaynejeffery3115 the welcome sequence thing is not the end of the world. It's more a novelty than anything. When you look at a car and take it for a test drive and check out the things that you like/don't like. You have to weigh the pros and cons. What do you need vs what you want? Ask tons of questions and get proper answers before agreeing and signing to purchase. But again with giving it a low score and things you weren't impressed with. Why did you buy it then? I'm not sure why people buy a vehicle based on the sound system?
