Enjoy your hike! Keep your head straight. Listen to your body. Don't worry about zero days. My first thru hike in 1990 I had 79 zero days. My second thru hike in 2002 I had 64 zero days. As you get further up the trail you will hike more and faster if you need to. Don't be afraid to take zeros in the woods. Its free and far more relaxing than in town. You can always flip flop if you run out of time. Good luck with your hike. geek, '90 and '02

I have always been plagued by blisters, no matter the sock or footwear. I currently don't have a blister problem because I use trail runners combined with sock liners under a thin smart wool sock.

One thing at a time…you will get as far as you can while addressing health issues. Even if you come back and finish the last section next year. And see a doctor soon! 🙂🙏
