This kinda show was long due. Tribune is a reputable media house. Other web channels started this kinda shows long ago but they weren’t asking tough questions instead they used those shows for the promotion of political figures or setting their own personal relations. When Jyoti Malhotra was the journalist in the Print media ,she always targeted the BJP/Modi government. She has continued her criticism of the Modi government and the BJP, although she should be an impartial Editor of The Tribune. She has deliberately chosen Kang for the interview. She knew Kang would tarnish the BJP and not the Congress and the SAD.

His points for so called discrimination 1. No capital, same is true for Haryana 2 Panjab University, it is central university and chandigarh is UT, so colleges from both the states can get affiliated to it. 3. RDF (Rural development fund or whatever fund) this is normal not good but tactics of center to get credit for some works in state because at the end all implementation is done via states only, So centre need their portion of credit for that. It happens in many states, so it is a general problem not Punjab specific.

This woman is trying to be unnecessarily aggressive without trying to understand what the guest is trying to convey. She seems unaware of Punjab & Punjabi psyche, though Mr. Kang is very clearly putting across his point. It's good that they're admitting their failures, at least they're looking to improve. Interviewer should stop trying to be a cheap copy of Karan Thapar.

Here is ground reality for non Punjabis: 1- Remote control Sarkar ( Delhi is calling all the shots) 2-Drug problem is same. 3- AAP leaders are just as corrupt if not worse. 4- Youth unemployment. 5- We were promised schools and hospitals but nothing is being delivered.

Reminder: Punjab elected 5 from the party responsible for attack on Darbar Sahib and pogroms in Delhi in 1984. Punjab also elected 2 from the opposing sect (one, son of Mrs Gandhi's killer, and the other with more fundamentalist tendencies) Now best of luck with analyzing the Punjabi psyche 🙂

Ka ng has been elected by a whisker( few thousand votes) else verdict would have been 8/2 v/s congress/aap. A party that claimed over 13 seats has been humbled . My independent assessment of the 2027 election is that AAP under JAMOORA(joker) Maan is that the party will fall short of majority & will end up as single largest.party . Bureaucracy rightly takes puppet Maan lightly as he is unequal to onerous tasks before him.
