I don't know why American homes are built that way. If they just build it with all concrete, your house will be safe against tornado and still usable after a fire. Oh there won't be any spaces like underneath the floor where rats can hang out either.

To the fence next door being near trees which we got cut down to all sorts. We do have a lot of cats in our area but there’s 2 new build estate LS being built at present near us which will be disrupting rats nests. We do throw out a lot of waste food but it’s bagged and concealed in a plastic bin and emptied and cleaned out every 2 weeks and bleached. It’s terrifying to think of they get in what they could do.

Awesome channel guys they've been a great help, I love your enthusiasm! Much love from Scotland! 💕 I've recently moved into my Dad's basement flat that has been pretty much destroyed due to rats. They were in every room of the house, under the floors, in the walls and up in the attic chewing all of the cables. After the pest control left poison everywhere I thought they were gone, but now that the weather has turned cold, they are back. Apparently the building has been plagued by them for 10 years. One of them even bit my old man on the lip, another one climbed into his bed. 😱 Now after weeks of investigation I think I've located the access point which is via the main sewer probably from a break in the sewer pipes under my bathroom (a CCTV inspection is being organised as I write this). Question! I've been looking into getting a non-return valve stainless steel "rat gate" thing - in your experience are these effective? Thanks!
@jeffreyschneider4335 Жыл бұрын
I've seen these guys use the rat gate in a diff video.... I don't think it's necessary though if you repair any chewed/broken/damaged sewer/drain lines, cap off vents and trap/kill any inside still after eliminating their entry. Also seal any openings in your foundation
@andrewgilroy2758 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffreyschneider4335 well as an update for my situation. I wasn't able to afford a large steel rat flap (£400+) and the CCTV inspection I got was inconclusive because the damn thing couldn't navigate the turns down there. Luckily I did locate an old pipe under the floor which when sealed seems to have done the trick. We've been rat free for a few weeks now, it's been blissful 😊

I'm obsessed with your videos. Those vent pipes coming out of the roof are always going to be a way in. Can an American tell me why these exist? I'm from the UK and we generally just have the soil pipe above the roof (connected to your bathroom and toilet further down). This is connected to the sewer further down. There is also another pipe for rain water attached to gutters. These are always on the outside of the house.

The apartments where I live are infested with rats they're getting into the cars chewing up the wires they're all over by the garbage dumpsters some have gotten into some of the walls. The garbage man even wrote on the dumpster rat problem.This has been going on since March they put bait boxes out in July and the landlord hired some guy and there's probably 30 bait boxes everywhere but he doesn't even come and check them for bait .They said, that they're not taking responsibility for the cars because they're actively trying to get rid of them. My car's been hit twice another neighbor had to spend $1,200 on hers another neighbor 500 mine was $800 the first time and now I need a whole what wiring harness. We did peppermint we did all that none of it stops it .
@TwinHomeExperts3 жыл бұрын
What’s a great share! This is so ridiculous y’all have to deal with this. You all need to make sure ALL food sources are gone from the area. Switch up bait stations. You all may need the twin trap stationed around the property, because it offers a safe place for rats to climb into. It also catches up to 30 rats without causing the hint of death to the other rats.
