MarieBell thank you for the comment. Beautiful voice! Naturally placed and powerful. God bless you my dear. The place where you sing at a higher pitch, it's more of a Falsetto I believe, but i'd have to listen to it again. Your voice is quite balanced, since you're not overdoing low notes and not over belting higher notes. Remember, the voice needs both the mechanisms of the chest voice and the head voice at all times, but we keep balance so that the voice is connected to the air while changing registers throughout the songs we sing. One thing I can add: try keeping your jaw open at all times (at least the space of one finger) so the sound can vibrate and lift. Check out the Register playlist here and please reach out if you have questions or concerns: kzbin.info/aero/PL3TcRB_yr04VZj1_oxjBDVjuvIlj_r1Un

I have a question I was hoping you could answer for me. Part of my vocals went out on me about a month ago. Best way I can describe it is I lost the ability to sing songs that project like Uptown Funk and Mr Brightside. Uptown funk was one of my best songs but now I can't even sing the first note. Now if I sing it soft I can hit every note.

Thank you for the comment. Is it possible that you tend to strain the voice when singing those songs? If you’re able to sing them soft, then this would be your natural voice and placement. That sound should be your goal even when wishing to sing with more presence. But if you feel it’s a physiological issue, you should ask your physician. I hope this helps.
