Being from the hometown of where Dow Diamond is and working there for the last five years, it's honestly an amazing ball park for lower level minor league ball. Until this year the Loons have been the Low-A affiliate of the Dodgers. The ball park has a massive video board in right field, a kids play place in foul territory in right field right next to a big hill of grass seats. A wonderful pavilion in left field foul territory with food and drink, working fire places around the outfield for those cold nights in April and May in Michigan, and it's own radio station housed in the suite level. It's an amazing ball park and one of my favorites to ever go to.

Flour is nice and situated truly in the Westend of Downtown Greenville whereas the G braves were way off down in Mauldin 30 minutes farther south. The Drive is nice but you don’t see nearly as many players end up in the Bigs. We had Tom Glavine & Chipper Jones, both Hall-Of-Famers, as well Andrew Jones and a tonne of others come through the G-Braves. Got to see Michael Jordan play there when he was with the Barons. Loads of rehab outtings from Pitchers. Seemed like Atlanta always sent them to Double A for rehab stents. Single A is not as exciting. And also, the Wisconsin Timber Rattles field sucks it’s just awful with that artificial infield and natural grass outfield. That red roof Makes me wanna check into a room for some reason too. I hate it.

The stadiums in High-A West are all moving up from Short Season. Outside of Spokane, they weren't exactly designed to be big time ballparks. I go to a lot of Aquasox games, and Funko Field is not a great place to watch a game other than being really close to the field. Concessions are not good, the surrounding area is not safe, but the staff of the team/stadium do work very hard to put on a great show. A side note about the stadium in Hillsboro. The football and baseball stadium share a big walkway that houses the concessions. The stadium that is attached to it hosts D1 Portland State University and a lot of high school championship games.

I went to the Aquasox game this season because my dad's cousin is a private pitcher coach for one of the Aquasox pitchers. I thought Funko Field was a pretty cool Field for a high A team.
