Hey guys! Jamie the guitarist of Earthside here. A couple of our fans gave me a nudge to check this out, including the man Stacey himself. :) I very much enjoyed watching you guys react to this. The idea of a band sitting down to check out music together is cool, as my mates and I will geek out at or laugh joyously at music we come across. :D To answer a couple of your curiosities, this piece actually began as my senior thesis to complete my music major in college. I didn't finish the song before graduating as I'd never composed for orchestra before this, so it took me a few years of messing around with it making plenty of mistakes in my orchestration before we felt it was ready to record. As for the "music box" instrument, the instrument that you're looking for is a CELESTA!! It is most famously known from Tchaikovsky's 'The Nutcracker' and the piece "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy" and more recently John Williams's 'Harry Potter' soundtrack, specifically "Hedwig's Theme." It's definitely one of my favorite orchestral instruments. BUT!! To Jon's credit, there is also a glockenspiel part prominently in the song, so kudos. ;)

Beyond man, beyond. Incredible music, ridiculous talent, just too much for mere words to express all that you feel listening to this masterpiece of music. Bravo 👏

This band is from my state of Connecticut. This song is a collab with Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust) and the Moscow Studio Symphony Orchestra. The song was composed by Jamie the guitar player. The band is currently writing their 2nd album. They also do songs with Dan Tompkins of Tesseract and Bjorn Stroud of Soilwork which so highly recommend checking out!

Lmfao first off Stacey (me) is a 53 yr old man all good you guys 😘😘😘 Secondly, I KNEW YOU ALL WOULD LOVE THIS !!! Lajon (singer) is the singer of Sevendust, someone you also need to react to !!! Jamie (Guitar) Ryan (bass) Ben (drummer) and Frank (keyboards among other things) are an amazing group !!! If I remember right “Mob Mentality” was based on Jamie’s senior thesis while studying at Yale. There is a great “making of” video that you guys should also check out on your own when you can, it’s fun to hear about the making of this beautiful song !!!. My mom always wanted a girl (hehehe) but instead she tried (3) times a got all of us nutcrackers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’ll be throwing more stuff your way soon - so happy you enjoyed this !!!

1'50" Jon you are in "perfect ryme" with my post of two days ago eheh 5'10" Suzi emotion and empathy 💫 So here the drummer is doing almost polyrithms ( almost opposite fractions-multiples of a Tempo sequence in 4/4 ; metric modulation) It's very rare for now to see a drummer using 'Spatole' in italian . Stunning request . Fraction beats on China cymbal around 11'45" . Around 17'00" Whaooo guys your Reference Is Highly culturated
