The only reason those two get picked is because they're unlocked early and have the most versatility. In regards to the ARs, the M4 has gotten nerfed to the point where other, more specialized ARs are viable now. As for SMGs, I'd say probably the only other viable ones are the Bizon and maybe the MP7 if it's still the face-melting beast it was during the beta.

Hate to be this guy but I have a gold 725...lol it happened on accident. I ran that as my overkill secondary for a while. Also got the p90 and 357 gold. Even with its problems I think the game is great and sometimes you just have to recognize a bad situation or gun fight and move positions to get the advantage

I'd like to propose a few changes to your gun setups. For the sniper: The Tac laser stacks several useful effects, but tends to provide only minor benefits to each compared to more specialized attachments, so scrap it in favor of a stippled or granulated grip. My recommendation though is to swap it for a compensator or muzzle brake. The reflex sights are nifty if you need a snappy sight that gives you a clear view of your target, but if you're going to be using the gun at range I'd really recommend swapping for something like a VLK so you aren't missing shots by fractions of a pixel. For the aggressive build: Again, reflex sights are nifty if you need a clear view of your target and a snappy sight, but the Famas irons are actually pretty good for closer engagements, swapping it for a laser to help tighten that hipfire or further boost ADS speed would be a good idea. Putting on a tac or 1mw laser would also serve to recreate the dot of a reflex sight.

It's easier for people to stick to full auto weapons, especially ones that are so versatile like the M4 and MP5. The FAMAS is amazing, though. The burst fire rate is punishing if you miss but the damage output is just as stupid as the other top tier weapons in the game, especially if you put the Sniper barrel on to increase your 3-shot range. Practically turns it into a pseudo-M16.

I just levelled this up on shipment 24/7, and it was fun. I can’t believe how it tore people apart when rushing with it. Just add all ADS attachments, run and constantly slide around corners, and shoot away. It’s an instant melting machine when played aggressively on shipment. May have struggled to level this up on other maps though. Now I can try using a combo of good attachments for the other maps and see how it performs.

Famas is relatively bad in hardcore. You have the same damage as a lot of automatic weapons, but lose the ability to track while shooting. You're raising the skill floor with no benefit. That being said, I still enjoy using it in hardcore because those one-shot kills are so satisfying.

@@HoratioAccel nah bro M13 has pretty bad TTK for HC when you take into account that Scar, Oden or AK are full auto and 1 shot at any range to the leg. If you're going to go for 2 hit kills in HC you're better off taking MP7 as it has better TTK with it's faster fire rate along with faster ADS, or just grab an M4 with 9mm conversion. That said tho, M13 with subsonic no tracer ammo is pretty good for flanking

Never found hardcore to require anything that a core player couldnt do. it just tends to be slower paced depending on the cod. Games like bo3 I could shred in HC because I out react everyone and it almost felt easier at times because you only have to hit the first shot whereas in core you gotta be accurate enough to hit multiple shots. But all well, HC elitists will be who they wanna be

This and the M13 are my main. I refer this gun as the Battle Rifle from Halo. It plays very similar to it especially from mid to long ranges. So I adapted very quick to the gun. Still figuring which scope works the best.

I was really hoping you would actually test and say what the semi-auto firecap was. If the firecap is as high as it feels like it is, it has similar 3-shot power to the AK and SCAR but the potential to fire quite a bit faster. Obviously a one-burst kill in burst mode is the best case scenario, but the semi-auto mode is more forgiving due to no burst delay.

@@immegumin7436 as a tip, i would take what drift says with a grain of salt, as he's been pretty inconsistent and incorrect a lot in the past. stippled is a 1-2 frame reduction in ADS time pretty consistently across all weapon types.

This gun is low-key fantastic. Better at midrange than the Oden IMO. Only map I don't use it is Shipment. Just doesn't handle quickly enough, but you can deal with it anywhere else.

M1Garand von WW2 is the only not full auto that with A LOT of experience could be really competitive, that because it was a 300rpm, two bullets/kill, and super fast ADS. M1Garand had the best TTK in WW2, and also with these powerful stats it was very few used. When devs want to balance this kind of sigle/burst shots, they should think that even M1 was not that much USED, I wanted to say that if you do not want to create a Cynderella these weapons should be clearly overpowered. FAMAS is not clearly overpowered so (almost) no one will use it.

Garand was a super weapon, the tactic rifles in mw are not bad but not enough good to use over full autos. The FAL, FAMAS and tactical rifles are weapons for the quests only. The biggest mistake is they should have a super faster ADS and they do not have it actually.

My pro tip for gilding the gun. Hardcore mode, single fire. It acts like a cross between the M4 and the FAL. I used it as a counter sniper, mid rifle. The burst is detrimental to the gun otherwise.

I ran the FR 5.56 only a while back while working on leveling guns and after a lot of practice (and some heckling by my friends) the gun feels incredibly good when you know where to aim and as long as you play to its strengths by picking fights in the more open areas of the maps. Overall I believe it’s a well balanced, high skill weapon that rewards practice.

In all of his older gun guide series, he normally does snipers last. This is because he does extra testing for them. Also because he levels them up last, sniping is not his playstyle. Long story short, we are going to be waiting awhile before a Sniper/Marksman Rifle gun guide comes out.

I just started actually giving this weapon a serious effort to use and good god does this thing absolutely melt. Found myself staying alive much longer on even cqb maps and modes. I've found this thing on the 24/7 shoot house rotation is disgustingly good. Am able to pick off head glitchers at range and surprisingly even heads up 1v1 when rounding a corner, even the hipfire within 5m is better than I would've thought. Paired with the compensator, tac laser, stippled grip, and I forget the quick ads stock name, and a RDS the thing is a laser and pretty mobile for how lethal it is. Aim high center mass and easily one shot (burst) with the little recoil with the compensator drifts to the head.

This is the only gun I play with but compared to the MP5, Bizon or M4A1 its so damn scattered as far as bullet pattern goes. The only reason I play with it almost exclusively is because it matches my highly erratic behavior and matches my aggressive temperament in the way i approach life. Needless to say things aren't going well..lol

I cleaned up with “Le Clarion” when I was starting out with the default classes. Maybe it was because everybody was new, or maybe my aim with burst fire weapons just briefly didn’t suck. Either way, it didn’t last. I’m still intrigued by the possibility of pairing sniper barrel with stippled grip, so I might give it another shot. I’ve got some levels banked in it already, thanks to co-op enemies littering the map with this thing. Thanks for the video.

Higly recommend to use the sniper barel (and recoil attachements), get the stock that increase movement speed while ads (to compensate for slow ads) Get surprisingly accurate and destroy in core. Those 1 burst kill are amazing.

Was really hoping you'd experiment with all the recoil control/stabilization attachments paired together, then all the range attachments, plus all the ADS improvement attachments paired together too; though, your last build is pretty much the ADS one. I was just interested to see the resulting differences from the standard weapon when a particular benefit is fully targeted. I finished unlocking all the attachments myself. The build I created has the Sniper barrel paired with the Stippled Grip, 50 Bullet Mag, Commando Fore-grip, & Compensator muzzle. I'm not sure if I'm getting a better ADS benefit from the Stipple Grip or if I should switch it over to the Tac-Wrap Stock or if I should instead opt for the Monolithic Suppressor given its range + silence benefits over the Compensator muzzle's vertical recoil reduction. I also am curious what percentage of improvement to Hip-Fire the 1mw Laser provides. Honestly, this video felt a bit lacking. My experience with this gun thus far has been that it was fantastic initially and especially so after unlocking the Sniper barrel, but then all of a sudden it seemed as if they stealth nerfed it into the ground. Then late last week I tried it out again and it seemed like it got buffed a bit, but not to the level it was prior to the hard stealth nerf.

Gotta have great aim. I main the FAL so trying the Famas wasn’t too bad. Go for the upper body and the recoil will usually make you hit the head to get the one burst. Use high zoom sights and don’t shoot unless you’re on target. A valid strategy with automatic guns is to shoot as you ADS to try to get lucky shots in. Don’t do that. Aim, then shoot. It’s worth the discipline.

Ace, if you use Spotter in slot 3 you don't need EOD in slot 1 and can run Cold Blooded, Scavenger, or Overkill, depending on whether you need ammo and ordnance and what field tools you are using. Unless you just have to hack...

I think it would be worth stating that stacking two attachments that don't have a noticeable change to your aim down site speed will give you a -1 frame change. Or maybe even assign a value to aim down site speed changes such as -1/2 frame for those that don't have an impact unless stacked and then the others -1 or -2 or however much.

With burst fire weapons you should us the recoil in between shots within the burst. Both up close and at more of a distance. So can know the spread of those 3 shots if any

I actually loved this gun over the double exp weekend. I thought it was going to be awful but I got consistent one burst kills in no time. It was great.

No gun should ever be a 5 shot kill up close. Every gun should have a 3 shot kill range up close just like in Ghosts and MW3

This gun was difficult to level up, but when I got the sniper barrel it made all the grinding worth while. Sniper barrel unlocked around weapon level 40.. until then it is a hit market machine.

I actually think this is the perfect gun for a hybrid scope. Integral or Canted, preferably, so you have that faster swapping. Precision at long range, but you can still use it aggressively.

If you switch this bad boy to semi auto and use it kind of like a high fire cap DMR (ex. M2 Carbine from WW2) it does pretty good IMO. Definitely deletes people with rapid headshots and it's more consistent and ammo efficient. I bet if it were a semi auto weapon and the burst was an attachment nobody would use it!

I hated how short range it was since my favorite playstyle is to stealthily creep around the map and pic people off as I go, but I never bothered to unlock attachments for it so I never gave it a chance. I think it'd be especially great when practicing that recruit bot warmup you showed us since you have to be a bit more precise with the bursts.

I run tac laser on everything. It makes your weapons so snappy and removes almost all sight wobble. On this weapon though it's a necessity. You need to be hitting your first shot every time.

Shreds up close but the weird random bullet spread makes it suck at range. Should have vertical recoil, since it’s still going to take more than one shot at range but at least with predictable recoil you could control it.

I have never tested this but I have found any attachment that increases accuracy seems to keep that burst range tight so you can 1-2 shot people easier at longer ranges

Only use this gun now. My headshot ratio is 25 percent and most enemies go down in one or two shots. You do need to be accurate. Sniper barrel is a must. Mid range you are a Good with this gun.

Been using this same way I use the hemlock on apex, rapid single fire with 3x, very nice recoil control so can spam pretty fast and accurate, and very nice fire rate shit shreds 🙌🙌

The funniest thing about this gun is that its model has an AR-18 style gas piston, making it not a FAMAS. I hope IW will make more 'modernized' skin for FR 5.56, such as a gas-operated FELIN rifle xd
