I’m definitely more of a Moodies fan with the Mike Pinder influence.

The Moody Blues have always been one of my most favourite groups. Justin Haywards voice is one of the most pleasing I’ve heard.

“No More Lies” is one of my favorite Moody Blues/Justin Hayward songs. Justin’s lyrics are always wonderful. He tells a story. He’s a superb songwriter.

"No More Lies" is the second single released from the Moody Blues 1988 album Sur la Mer. As a single, it charted at #15 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1988. Like the album's previous single, "I Know You're Out There Somewhere," "No More Lies" was also written by Justin Hayward.

John Chu this is a great song. I had not heard this before but it sounds similar to many of the songs on the Long Distance Voyager album. It just has a beautiful feel to it. Nice reaction from Harri🌺✌️

You're so right Harri. Truly a blend of music eras. Undoubtedly the sounds of The Moody Blues vocals and harmonies. No More Lies, the Anthem for a lot of men. Lol. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and CRAIG. So enjoyable. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

The Moodies have been my absolute favorite band since the 80s. I love ALL their iterations, the core 7, the more synth-pop stuff from later on, but I have to say, this is the hokiest video I've ever seen. LOL. Oh, well. Still a great song.

Harri please review The Moody Blues "River of Endless Love" from the same album. Here is a video for it that has the lyrics on the screen as well as visuals that fit the song. I've recently been binging on a swath of albums by the Moody Blues and have become alarmed at how the integrity of both their sound and compositions (particularly those involving john Lodge) deteriorated from the mid-80s onwards. I've come to the conclusion that the departure of Mike Pinder took something really important away from their collective creativity. The sound of synths used (not to mention the horrible sound of processed drums) are jarring and dated now - compare with the subtlety and otherworldly presence of Pinder's Mellotron.....And as much as I admire Justin Hayward as a songwriter this is very poor fair from him - bland, soppy and uninspiring : Compare this example with the melodic magnificence, beautifully constructed arrangements (full of sonic ebb and flow) and emotional pull of his songs on the Blue Jays album...In footballing terms, this is relegation form.

Pinder's departure made all the difference. There is absolutely no comparison between the classic 7 albums and those that followed their reunion. Further Ray Thomas was more or less sidelined beginning in the mid-80s, really became the "Justin and John show" from that point on and really mostly the Justin show.
