The Christopher Ward C65 Aquitaine GMT is a surprisingly well-built and handsome GMT watch.

Trying a new style of video, let me know what you think! Will also have a review of another special automatic GMT soon, wink wink. (Yes, the new Seiko 5).

When talking about the lume, an idea could be to cover not only if it glows bright under immediate flashlight, but rather how long it lasts. Some youtubers do this and I find it very interesting to learn that some watches fade within 5-10 min.

I love my C60 Dune Bronze with bracelet and I really love the CSOC rating achieving -1” per day. I am very tempted with the C63 Aquitaine GMT, what’s stopping me buying is the lack of COSC. CW need to produce at least one COSC in all their range.

I really want to see CW offer more pieces as COSC certified, and not just for their military pieces and bronze pieces. It puts them in this odd spot - not a cheap microbrand you can use "throwaway money" for, but not enough movement accuracy and movement grade to really commit big money to. That's why I like Formex - same direct-to-consumer model as CW, but their COSC certification and chronometer grade movements move them up from CW's "quasi luxury" bracket into true entry-level luxury, even pulling ahead of Oris to sit beside Tudor, but for a lot less money - about half the amount. Without COSC/chronometer, CW are only going to attract those moving up from microbrands, but not those shopping for alternatives to Rolex, Omega, Breitling and Tudor.

Man i love this watch. I am planning on buying this exact piece as my first and only luxury watch. Thanks for talking about the felt thickness and how it feels. Really important. Cannot wait to one day own this

My first time here. I'm already a fan of Christopher Ward and was curious to see your delivery. I was not disappointed. I don't mean I like the review because you like the watch, rather that I think you may well deliver a balanced review, pointing out any negative aspects in such a way that it isn't solely opinion but will be supported by reason. I often see reviewers express negative opinions about specific details because they remind them of another watch that they didn't like which of course is of no help to, or concern of people that are after information about the watch being reviewed, and may have no similar experience. I think highlighting issues you may not like is just as important as those you do, but the reason should be product based. I especially think mentioning your wrist size in your reviews will help give people a better understanding of how the watch will look on their wrists. The amount of real estate a watch occupies on the wrist can be a deciding factor in someone's response to the watch. I have pieces ranging from 36mm to 44mm, and the size is not my driver, but understand that to others it is of greater significance. Good luck with growing your channel. I look forward to seeing what you have to come up with in the future. .

Thank you very much for watching and for the thoughtful feedback. I agree, providing the wrist size is very important, as sizing is completely relative. My wrist is 6.5" if I didn't mention it in the video. Thank you very much!

Just ordered one of these in "Orca black". I have three other CW watches - two C60 Trident Pro 300's and a C60 Trident #Tide. Quality control and functionality is terrific on all of them, but I prefer the winding feel of the Sellita SW 330-2 of the Aquitane GMT as compared to the Sellita SW200-2 fitted to the Tridents. I have one of these movements in a Steinhart GMT. In addition to the GMT complication, the 330-2 has a nicer, smoother winding action and a longer power reserve, which makes it a win-win choice.

Great review. I didn’t like this model but it’s grown on me. I’d like to see it on the bracelet especially with the “new” taper CW has.

@@Momo_8k yeah unfortunately not chronometer grade. They state +/- 20 sec per day which I am not that thrilled about, especially when I saw one reviewer timegraph his at +17 which is still within spec.

Excellent review as always! Could you try reviewing a Steinhart sometime in future? They offer serious value and mad quality (Swiss Made) for the price, especially their GMT models.

I have 3 CW watches, love them. Like this a lot but i wouldn't need the GMT & i don't like exhibition backs, i don't see it when its on my wrist & why engineer a weak spot into a watch. Apart from that, very nice.

Yeah, a GMT is a very niche watch for a niche person (imo). But I find the engineering and technology fascinating

For this one, the "GMT" writing on the dial should be in blue paint to match the blue of the GMT hand. It's little things like that, that watch people look for.
