You're damn right my friend. Ford hit the homerun here, and while people complain about HP/TQ #'s they'll have to be schooled on the purpose of dyno's. Otherwise the Raptor and Limited F-150 would tow somewhere around 17,500 pounds. Not happening. Godzilla will be around for a long time and in 2 or 3 years, those performance #'s will rise.

WOW,,,,,,love that new F250 Ford! Can’t wait to see how the gas 7.3 runs and what you guys do to this new rig. You picked up exactly what I am needing for an all purpose one truck does it all rig = IE people hauler, 10k-5k towing, off road work and play. Heck you even got one of my favorite colors. I was thinking about another power wagon but after hearing Ford was coming out with a new 7.3 gas engine I am waiting to see how yours works out. (Love the Ram but it doesn’t tow as good as I need) As for your new Ford it needs ASAP a HD front bumper with a Warn air compressor winch, LED light pods and a light bar or two, lift kit, rims and 37” tires, bed cover. Then after the engine breaks in start the performance upgrades.

They are always so biased to Fords anyway. So we probably won't see to much of that.
@shitloveaduck4 жыл бұрын
Miles Deubert - see much of what? Do you think they are biased? They don’t like the interior and have been negative on it for the past couple of years. The mother side of the coin is they may not be too negative otherwise because Ford actually,are a good product. They are somewhat merciless in regards to the Ford Flex and their negative opinion. Easy to throw out a statement like yours but what proof do you have they are biased? I actually find they are not exactly biased towards Ford. They are critical of the Ranger and the fact it is not a completely brand new model, but then when they take it off-road, tow with it and do performance tests, it turns out to be a good truck! They are actually objective.

The GM engineers know how to build gas engines.....LS.....but they do not have a clue on how to build trucks...especially the Class 2 ( 2500 ) and Class 3 ( 3500 ) trucks. The new Ford 7.3L gas engine is going to be awesome.....engineers did a phenomenal job...way over built...for strength, reliability, and long term durability. It is about time truck buying consumers get a gas engine for long term use.....for those who do not need a diesel engine and or do not want the high maintenance costs and probability of expensive repairs. By far the most excited I have been for a long term truck review (and that really is the point, the rest is me on my soap box), but here is why if y'all are interested. I am an owner of a 2017 F-250 diesel...sick and tired of regeneration once or twice per tank full (unless straight hwy towing), dpf. egr, def etc. I am the guy who will drive right past my own driveway after a long workday and do a additional 20 mile loop, allowing the truck to complete the dam regen cycle properly...which started 1/4 mile from the house (happens all the time). I had the Ford DPF % screen uploaded and also use an Edge Products cts2, to monitor these parameters as well as EGT's (while towing, waiting to shut down/proper cool down etc.). Then the egr dumping added soot into the engine, added expenses of Amsoil and filter (which I probably change to often). My towing needs fall into the 5K to 12K range (yes, I know I don't necessarily need a diesel but love them, and hate the gas engines lack of torque and constant hunting for gears, reving and shifting...makes for a long tiring ride). I've always had diesels and always loved them. So...with the strangle hold on truck manufacturers from the EPA, the "clean" diesel fuel lacking lubricity of ole and the aforementioned, I'm super excited to see how the 7.3 performs, how it tows, empty mpg over the road etc.

Buckhorn Cortez so you wouldn’t care if someone could just let them selfs in even if they can’t drive it?
@buckhorncortez4 жыл бұрын
@@Not_Genie The phone is keyed to the truck - just like the truck's remote that is used for keyless entry. Your phone is paired with the truck and the keyless entry system with a unique ID and the vehicle's VIN. The app checks the VIN with the vehicle before pairing the vehicle / phone. Unless you can hack the keyless entry system, and know the VIN you can't get into the truck with another phone because the other phone isn't paired to the truck. Now, if you lose your phone or it's stolen, then you have a problem - the same as if you lost a car key. However, if you call Ford they can disable the account because it is a cloud-based system. When you boot up the app on the phone it requires entry of a password. The app checks the FordPass cloud software to verify the account & password. If Ford deactivates the account associated with the vehicle's VIN - the app won't work.
@Not_Genie4 жыл бұрын

@highjix4 жыл бұрын
I have an 08 F-150 and that pad comes in real handy wearing big gloves when it's cold out. Don't have to take the gloves off to press the key fob, just put the code in hop in. I would keep my gloves on until the truck was warm
@hajjdawood4 жыл бұрын
Yea it really is one of the best features IMO, I would put spare keys hidden in my truck (including a car key wrapped in foil), once someone took my keys by accident, no problem. Or many times ill go outside to get something forget my keys, type my pin in done.
@TheCumminsturbo24 жыл бұрын
Hajji Daoud yep never really liked ford was a Chevy guy for a long time but lost faith in them whole other story but after owning a ford they do so many little things on there trucks that set them apart first with upfitter switches first to have built in brake controls pass through wires in the firewall so you don’t have to drill high idle with just a quick wire hook up pto wiring built in duel alternator options they were pretty much first on everything
@Marco-fi6gv4 жыл бұрын
Those pads are awesome. Go to the beach I can leave keys in truck, don't have to worry about trying to hide keys and leave them out. Also, I can have kids or wife stop by work and drop something off in my truck without me having to come back and wait for them. Love having keypads. Great option on the Fords

I like the truck you should put a plow on first and a winch on the rear you Know the kind you put in the hitch that's what I'd like to see. Can't wait to see all the test you will do with this truck . If I could have a truck this is what I would like to have. Good luck with your new truck and happy New year.😀👍

@loganholmberg22954 жыл бұрын
Lol I didn't like GMC till I switch from Ford. I still like Ford to. I don't see the point in being loyal to a brand. They both have problems and they both have success. Just never buy the latest and greatest.
@KevAlberta4 жыл бұрын
logan holmberg yup I’m never loyal to a brand either. I want a car from whoever makes it the best. The fiesta was the first car I owned and it’s done well thus far. My next car will probably be a civic, corolla, or Lexus.
@gabrielmoreno41164 жыл бұрын
I'm not a brand loyal person either but I do mechanic work and from my experience with working on both brands for the past 15 years and for gas trucks I like GM they have better power and easier to work on and for diesel I like Ford's 7.3 and the 6.0 once it's been deleted and studed and the 6.7's and I like that Ford's have the straight axles GM does ride better , but definitely not as tough in the front end Department but as far as working on the Diesels from either brand they both suck to work on

@braydenbledsoe32524 жыл бұрын
that good or bad?
@chumbawaumbacumpa4 жыл бұрын
Brayden Bledsoe orange peel is never good my guy. It’s when the paint looks dimpled (like an orange peel) and doesn’t reflect light like it should.
@donwarner69254 жыл бұрын
Riley Reddick it’s a depreciating asset. Maybe a 10k custom paint job will satisfy that.
@chumbawaumbacumpa4 жыл бұрын
Don Warner No way, it’s a work truck, not a show truck. I’d say as long as the paint doesn’t peel and flake off like that Chevy white from the 90’s then it’s good.

Certainly a good choice. The Super Duty F-Series trucks are great and in the last 25 years I’ve had experience with them I’ve never been let down. I’m sure the new 7.3 liter Godzilla V8 will be great. Fuel economy might not be the best but everything else will be.
