We had a black lory. He was developing red markings on his chest. He was just as playful, energetic, crazy, loving & curious as your boy. One time, he grabbed my glasses, dragging them along behind him as he "hopped" across the floor. When he got to his destination, he opened the glasses, centered behind them & tried to see thru them.

I swear these Black Parrots are Greencheek Conure’s in disguise, except for their color, they look and behave exactly like them. aww he's so cute. he acts in ways a lot like my little sun/day conure Peanut. peanut passed away sadly in 2019 at age of 24. he got injured. he was loud as heck and he could get nippy but he loved the 4 of us family. he had mostly dark green feathering his head was yellow but had mix of green. i miss my baby. he loved going into the shower with us. our shower door had a bar and he loved to sit in and chill. drinking water from the faucet. they are completely messy took us a good hour to get his cage hosed down then scrubbing with soap rinse let each part of cage dry in the sun,every week. he was kept in safe place during those times. i am a dog person(also had a dog) but i friggin love birds.

I had a cockateil who acted very similar. I adopted him when he was 5 years old and he became the most loved pet ever. I guess I spoiled him but he had the biggest personality. He followed me everywhere in my house. He would get angry if I had to go out and would not let me leave. I had to put him in his cage or he would follow me. I loved that bird so very much. He's been gone 10 years now and this video has brought back so many memories

Thank you so much for looking after these beautiful birds, they are amazing! If you want to keep birds, this is how they should live! Don't want to offend anyone, but keeping birds locked in a cage all the time, is cruel beyond belief, in fact i would say it is animal abuse/neglect! Very beautiful conure. Potty train him it will make your life much easier! When he poops in the bowl praise him and give him a treat they can learn! I had a pet robin who was the only survivor of four. Who decided she didn't want to leave us and I potty trained her too! She stayed with us for about 5-6 years. Loved her very much she use to fly through the house looking for me and would land on my shoulder while I was cleaning and sneak me kisses her name was little biscuit. My 22 year old parrot named her. He loved her too!

this is really bad advice! It's common for "potty trained parrots" to suffer serious health problems or worse because of holding on when their owner isn't there to tell them to go, or owner forgets to tell them every 15 minutes, as is required as a maximum time for normal body functions in a lori, such as the one in this video. My girl lorikeet knows the cue work for this act & I use it with her on occasions, but only ever when I know she's about to/is due to anyway & only because she trained herself before coming to live with me. It's really dangerous to train them in this act, anyone considering it needs to research it thoroughly, not just think "hey that sounds cool" from an internet post

I have a blue crowned parrot that is 22 and a half! That's my Buddy he is potty trained which makes it easier to hold and play with him! He tells me go potty and I put him over his cage where his potty bowl is! They make terrific family and friends! Mine likes me to rock him at night he lays in the palm of my hands and he holds on to my thumbs. He has been with me since he was 3-6 months old. Love him very much and he is very talkative and sometimes he gets lippy with me. He loves to watch tv and the mask of zorro is his favorite movie. It also taught him bad things like he calls me a " Pecker wood" when he gets angry at me! Lol But he also has said some very cute things too like "come here my human". They definitely have a sense of humor from time to time. Love your bird too! He's precious!
